I usually feel a lot. This is... Very strange.

[ But he also doesn't sound concerned at the moment. ]

[Percy's not sure if he should be concerned either.] I could try to give you the color back, but that might defeat the whole quest. [Also it's his now? Oh well.] But it'll give us an idea how long it takes to regenerate it. If we see that, it could apply to everything else around here.

[promissum]

You should keep it for now.

[He'll maybe try color draining Percy back, but that's a big maybe. Caring about things right now is impossible anyway. Being colorless for a while is fine.]

Everything else doesn't start with color. It might regenerate in a different way.

[expulsions]

Maybe, but how do we know it didn't originally start with color and it got drained like I just drained you? [But fine. He'll keep the color...for now.]

[promissum]

What do you think drained whole setting?

Something really big. Like someone with a lot of powers. Or something that decided this place wasn't worth helping.

[He might have tried to come up with an idea when he had color, but instead he just nods along.]

It was abandoned.

Probably. [He's still a little disconcerted about what's happened here.] Val, do you want to maybe go sit down until some of your color comes back?

I don't care.

[And he usually cares so intensely.]

[...great. He killed him.]

[That's just rude, Percy. He's still here and alive... enough.]

[And he follows without a complaint or a question.]

[Percy's rude, what do you want from him? He's a 17 year old who desperately needs a nap. Irregardless he begins to walk, leading Val along and over to Bluo. And over to a little house? Welcome to his place, Val.

It's not that impressive and Mrs. O'Leary's sleeping outside, but Percy's leading the pair of them in through the door and breezing his way to a kitchen.]

Have a seat. [Give him a second to dick around and start a small fire for a stovetop. He's also grabbing a pot, an unmarked jar of some kind, and a small jug of water he's apparently kept around. He's strangely focused on this though.]

I don't think I've ever seen you this quiet. It's kind of interesting. [And terrifying. And just outright weird.]

[promissum]

[He settles down at the table, watching Percy idly. Just because he's there.]

I'm not a quiet demon.

[Usually he has a lot to say in a very loud and dramatic fashion.]

I know, dude. You don't have to tell me that twice but look at you. You've gotta admit this is kind of weird. [If Val's watching, he'll see that Percy's just...making coffee. Okay.]

[promissum]

Okay. It is weird.

[He'd probably agree more strongly normally. Oh well.

He's watching him make the coffee, but he doesn't actually move at all.]

[expulsions]

[There's a flat look.] Parroting me isn't the same as agreeing, dude.

[Normally he'd make tea but...coffee will do. He has no idea what he's doing, he's just doing what he thinks his mother would do in this kind of case.]

Tell me a story. [Maybe that'll work.]

What kind?

[He doesn't know that many of them, but maybe he can dredge one up.]

Anything you think is important. Or entertaining.

[promissum]

[There's nothing on his mind right now that fulfills either requirement, so he just kind of... looks blankly at Percy.]

I don't have any stories like that right now.

[expulsions]

What are you even thinking about right now? [Gods. The coffee's done and he pours two cups before bringing them over to the table.] And drink this. I have no idea how it's gonna taste but it's warm.

[promissum]

... Nothing, really.

[He gives a little shrug of his shoulders, taking the cup and nursing it between his hands. He takes a sip, completely ignoring that it was freshly brewed.]

[expulsions]

[He's letting himself process that.]

Huh. I've always kind of wondered why we showed up here with all of our color still, but I think I get it now. We'd be useless without it.

[promissum]

[Hm... his tongue is burned, but he's not concerned.]

We wouldn't have done anything after arriving.

[There's no drive like this.]

[expulsions]

Exactly. And they need us to everything to bring color back since they can't do it themselves. It's pretty obvious. [Fascinating...] I still don't get why they want us to try it now. Maybe to get a point across?

[promissum]

Maybe to instill how important color is to us.

[Because no feelings is worse than a bad feeling- or at least he'll say so eventually.]
