he day is normal. It's a bit chillier than it's been, the nip of fall in the air, but as the new people in the Town settle in... things have gotten peaceful. And yet. When everyone goes out to greet their neighbors, to hug their friends, to shake hands or make eye contact or who knows what -- they'll realize very, very quickly that nothing about today is normal at all, actually. [ HONESTLY...THAT'S FAIR. THAT'S VERY FAIR. dave very carefully covers the paint can again because tbh maribelle is a little intimidating when mad and dave has zero doubts that she could end him. ]

So, you think everyone else is going to calmly accept your... help without question.

[Anger simmering, dying, let's focus on that...]

I mean. Probably? [ he shrugs. ] Almost everyone here just kind of laughs and does whatever.

[ they are the most lax town in existence. ]

But not everyone entirely. What if you annoy the wrong person with the worst powers?

Then...I will get my ass handed to me? [ he says it so casually... ]

I mean, I'm pretty sure no one here would kill me. [ dave shrugs, one hand going to the back of his neck. as long as it's not death the rest is apparently just details. ]

My world doesn't have that either, but it didn't turn me towards vandalizing.

So what do you do to keep busy?

I do chores! A clean home is a happy one.

Chores can be lots of fun, with the right mindset.

... It's a charming idea, yet I somehow feel pity in your words.

Nah, it ain't pity. I just think you could use some downtime from work every now and then? Like, you do so much around here, it's chill to take a load off with something that ain't...more work?

... Well, I suppose it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

Cool. Any sorts of games you've enjoyed back home?

I mean, I know what dice are but I assume you mean playing something with them?

Oh, there are all sorts you can play with dice! Especially when you involve coins and trade. I once fleeced my dear friend Vaike out of every copper he had.

Isn't fleecing like cheating??

Not at all! It just means your opponent is so bad at his skills that it's very easy to dupe them and take them for everything they're worth.
