he day is normal. It's a bit chillier than it's been, the nip of fall in the air, but as the new people in the Town settle in... things have gotten peaceful. And yet. When everyone goes out to greet their neighbors, to hug their friends, to shake hands or make eye contact or who knows what -- they'll realize very, very quickly that nothing about today is normal at all, actually. Nah, it ain't pity. I just think you could use some downtime from work every now and then? Like, you do so much around here, it's chill to take a load off with something that ain't...more work?

... Well, I suppose it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

Cool. Any sorts of games you've enjoyed back home?

One thing we must consider is that one person's game may be called something else here, so let's see...

... Are you familiar with dice?

I mean, I know what dice are but I assume you mean playing something with them?

Oh, there are all sorts you can play with dice! Especially when you involve coins and trade. I once fleeced my dear friend Vaike out of every copper he had.

Isn't fleecing like cheating??

[troubadamsel]

Not at all! It just means your opponent is so bad at his skills that it's very easy to dupe them and take them for everything they're worth.

[... so yes, it is cheating.]

I'm pretty sure if you use the word "dupe" cheating is implied?

... Perhaps the game I'm familiar with is best not suited for our youths, then.

[that's as close as she'll admit.]

I mean, I don't mind learning anyway. It ain't like we have currency here.

What would we wage, in that case?

I guess we could wager chores, maybe?
