Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. Hopefully they can get a hand out! For more information, please go here! | |
t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well.

And you got kidnapped, too.. [ Uh, duh, Lottie. She cringes ever so slightly before continuing. ] How long have you been stuck here?

It's four months now. [ so not an insignificant amount of time. ] I was in the second group to arrive here. Those from the first group have been here for six months.

Four months? [ Is that how long she's going to be here?? She has a life to get back to, social media to maintain! ] And the first group for over half a year?! How many of you guys are there?

[ At least for the district.. She moves to get the paper out of the waistband of her skirt, abandoning her case for a moment to unfold the note in its entirety. ]

[ some people take it better than others, but zelda presumes those people must have had a lot to deal with at home if they can acclimate so quickly. someone like lottie feels... different, from most of the others she's seen. completely out of her element. she could use more help for that reason alone. ]

Lottie tucks the paper back quickly. ] ..Was yours just as bad? [ Her first day, she means. With how composed she is, Lottie is half inclined to believe she took it far better than she currently is. ]
Thank you, though, I really appreciate your help, right now. [ She doesn't think she can really properly express that bit, since Lottie's ability to show her emotions are a 2 on a scale of 10. So Lottie will edge closer to Zelda, instead, flashing her something close to a smile. ] After we get to my.. house, or whatever, I promise I won't bug you anymore than I already am.

[ mainly that she spent so long away from the world she used to live in, and then she came here just as she was preparing to return. there are a lot of people who don't know she's alive... the terrible feeling of that has subsided, but it's easy to remember.

Not initially, but you're always free to move somewhere else. [ she smiles a little, glad to give some good news in this. it's the little things! ] The good news of this town is that, for all the ups and downs, we are relatively free to live in peace. As long as you aren't doing anything criminal of course.
[ honestly, people here seem to be more on the law-abiding side than not. lucky for a town of so many different types of people, from different walks of life. ]

Well.. Lottie will have to see if the place she lives in is pretty enough to endure for now. Otherwise, she will definitely move someplace secluded. Quiet. Where she can hate people on the internet in peace. So far, it doesn't look terrible.. definitely nothing like her apartment though. ]
