t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. [Once he's let go, he doesn't even rub his arm. For such a skinny stick of a vampire, it really didn't seem to do him any harm. He falls into his walk like this entire exchange never happened.

At home, maybe somebody would be outraged that he went through this, but here it's just Valvatorez. And he's not even upset. It's good that humans these days are worried about each other. There was too little of that at home. In the end, he's learned more about this human's character... and he likes what he sees.]

[Out of the corner of his eye he sees something flick past. It's too big to be a butterfly. Where there's one, there's probably more.]

[ he'd rather find a weird woman on a roof than in a graveyard, so, small victories...?! her comment gets a raised brow from him. ]

Hardly feels like you've left home? Is your world all gray like this normally?

[ well, there's more color than there was before, but still. ]

[ She's rarely ever met anyone so bold! But it's not like she has anything else to go on right now, so she's ... generally okay with being dragged around by this strange flirtatious girl?? ]

[ Probably, but given she's only just arrived here she's got some other things on her mind more than possibly getting sick. ]

Hm? Ah ... Maybe?

[ Well, she wasn't really thinking of him as irresponsible more than she was just worried, but as long as he felt he was okay ... ]

Okay. Maybe there is a map of this place somewhere?

[ Like that bulletin board right there. That might have something. ]

[ Ari tucks the towel under his arm, straightening now that he's a bit drier than before. Enough that he's sure the rest will air dry on its own, in time. ]

[ Ari suggests, unknowingly pointing at what is absolutely the wrong direction. They'll end up in Ruga at this rate, but they'll find their way to Flavo eventually. He's determined to see this through.

Hey, at least it's a good chance to explore the sights of the town! ]

[ One with giant carnival, and a contest, and then there was the big imperial city, and ...

... basically, yes, she has been to a big city. ]

So a colony in your world is basically a big city?

[ he doesn't seem to notice one way or the other, actually. Things like status don't matter that much to him. Lupin doesn't care if he's a butler or the Queen, as long as he's a decent person. ]

Phantomhive?

[ he's fairly familiar with most of the prominent noble houses, at least around London. Maybe the Phantomhives are situated further out in the country? It seems unlikely, but not impossible... he doesn't know everything, despite his best efforts. ]

I was in London before I got here, but I don't think I know the name.

*reim and ghost doing the library card dance intensifying*

[ Hmm... ] May I see it? [ Just how lost were they... ]

There must be a reason, but it's hard to say what. When the first group arrived, nothing had color at all. Our actions are restoring it, by doing quests and making bonds, but...

I still don't know what it's actually doing, or if it'll help take us home. It's all we've got, right now.

[Guren holds out his own last strawberry for Yuu to take, but it's one of those things where he'll yank it away slightly before handing it over, if Yuu goes for it.]

You can use the bed. I don't always end up back here, anyway, when I'm working or doing other things.

No. [He says that first, and then, with a heavy pause, kind of shrugs his hand into the air.]

I'm the closest thing we have to one, leading the defense force. I'm just trying to keep everyone safe and working together.

[swordfucker]

Yeah, yeah. I'll gladly move out of the way if you want to take care of some vampires for me.

[He's tired!! Anyway, he's already stepping to walk away, he's done poking bats and being tense!!]

Good luck settling in, I guess.

[Everyone one of These Types is going to give Guren a headache, but he's a hypocrite anyway, so.]

Six months, roughly. You can doubt it all you want, since eventually you're probably going to end up in that forest. The quests we're given usually end up taking us there, to start, and even if there are gardens run by some of the people here, you'll probably want some meat.

Sure. I'll get back to you on that, okay?

[He's already not sure what to think of All Might's teaching skills from what Izuku said, but he guesses he'll find out... Either way, the teamwork thing should benefit everyone!! Bonding.]

[It's better that he came with a bodyguard than him going in alone, at least. Guren slows his steps so they don't run into something else immediately terrifying for this nerd.]

Tedious is right. There's not much of it, and it's coming in all wrong. I don't know what we're actually doing with it, but if we refuse to do the quests, it's more of a problem, so that's where we're at right now.

Aren't we all? [ Lupin gives her a sardonic smirk, resting one hand on his hip. ] I've been here for a few months, now, and I've hardly found a single clue.

[ which... is a bit embarrassing to admit, for someone who usually prides himself on information-gathering, but it's not like she knows that!! ]

There's some sort of force drawing and keeping us here, and it seems like their intent is for us to restore color to the world by having us carry out little errands. That, and surviving whatever devilry gets thrown at us every other week.

Strange... How were we all brought to a completely empty town? No, I'm sure there must have been someone here.

[It just doesn't make any sense for there to have been no one at all. He's not sure he's ready to accept that.

He's also not ready to accept that magic is involved.]

[ Somehow, Ari gets the sense that if he doesn't hurry, something bad will happen. So he scrambles up the fraying rope as fast as his scrawny arms will allow.

The higher he goes the harder it seems to get, but determination—and maybe a bit of desperation—drives him upward. ]

> "Almost..."

[ He's almost there—! ]

[Aizawa doesn't wave back, but he does nod slightly to acknowledge the gesture as he stops in front of him.]

Midoriya told me that you just arrived. [And given that All Might doesn't look all that surprised to see him he can assume that his student has at least informed him of the basics.] I'm guessing you've already gotten a thorough introduction of this place?

[Even if Midoriya wasn't the first one to cross paths with All Might, Chroma's temporary inhabitants seem more than happy to fill newcomers in on the ins and outs of their current prison, which is great since Aizawa doesn't really care for infodumping.]

[ She's twelve!! And she's never heard her curse called a Quirk before, but he's right, this isn't exactly something she can do at will.

So now she has to be naked behind a giant man, what a world. ]

Thank you. [ Frown noted! It's a lot of questions at once, but Ghost Quartz answers them all dutifully. ] The other crystal who resides here in Chroma. They're the shortest of us. [ haha shorty cairngorm ]

They've been here longer than I have- I've just arrived. I knew them and Phosphophyllite before I arrived. Phos arrived with me- Not the same Phos I knew, though that's to be expected... [ Considering. Everything that happened. ] Does that help?

[ Ari shifts the laptop to one arm so he can fish the letter out from his inner vest pocket. He's not sure how it ended up in his possession, but when he came to in the well, it was already tucked inside his vest—waiting to be found and read. ]

> "A letter told me to come here."

[ Perhaps they were both meant to arrive at this location? There was a laptop for each of them, after all, even if Ari didn't initially realize two devices meant another person would show up eventually. ]

> "Are you new too?"

[ Find things? She's still brand new, so she hasn't heard anything about.. finding clothes. Lottie almost feels glad to whoever decided to pity her and let her bring her suitcase. At some point she's going to have to do that..

She inwardly panics because she knows she can't recycle the same 10 outfits - it's impossible. She can't even do it with just one! ] Yeah, just a while ago, actually. [ Showed up is a really kind term for being kidnapped, but Lottie is trying her hardest not to speak harshly. A friend is a friend.

Instead, she steps to the side, just enough to properly display the contents of her bag. As much of an invitation to come and look as she can give without it being super weird or even more awkward. ]

My stuff was there with me when I woke up.. Kinda hard to bring it out, but I managed.

Sympathy comes easily to him when she talks about being unable to keep up with her thoughts; he'd been the same way when he showed up, though he did a good job hiding it (as with most emotions.) His face softens, understanding. ]

It's a lot to take in. I still feel like I'm halfway in denial, to be honest with you. [ yes, even after half a year. The human mind is an amazing thing! ] The most important thing I can tell you is not to go off in the woods on your own. It's dangerous out there - not just physically, but mentally, too.
