Event Ten.
![]() | |
Pushed his sister in a well. Mother said, while drawing water, "My, it's hard to raise a daughter." | |
Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. Hopefully they can get a hand out! For more information, please go here! |

At home, maybe somebody would be outraged that he went through this, but here it's just Valvatorez. And he's not even upset. It's good that humans these days are worried about each other. There was too little of that at home. In the end, he's learned more about this human's character... and he likes what he sees.]
Very well.
[Out of the corner of his eye he sees something flick past. It's too big to be a butterfly. Where there's one, there's probably more.]
Did you see that?
no subject
I think they found us.
no subject
Good, it means we don't have to find them.
[He raises his sword and rushes forward, easily felling one of the fairies. Some of them seem to have disappeared.]
Invisibility?
no subject
Star Platinum comes out again, jabbing a fist at a fairy that appears within its reach. The hit sends the fairy tumbling backward, but doesn't knock it out of the air, which is... troubling.]
My Stand isn't affecting them like it should. Was there anything about them on that quest thing other than that we have to defeat them?
no subject
Except he doesn't see the one that touches the back of his neck. Casting its magic on him.
He can't speak? He turns to talk to Jotaro, but the fairy cast something like silence...]
no subject
Good grief.
[He swats at another several fairies with Star Platinum, but once again they aren't as phased as they are by Val's sword--in fact, there's something almost mocking about the way they flutter and roll and disappear. It's enough for him to start suspecting a pattern, so he reaches into his pocket and pulls out some loose change.
And then a fairy appears at his shoulder, because we can't make this too easy.]
no subject
He doesn't know a thing about these fairies, but according to his world's rules, things that cast are weak to being beaten down.
Even if he sees the fairy at Jotaro's shoulder, there's nothing he can do to warn him until after it casts its spell.]
no subject
Confusion is a hell of a drug.]
no subject
... Did he even notice he was hit by a coin? It's hard to say.
But he does turn back towards Jotaro, now that most of the fairies near him are defeated. He's sure more of them will show up soon enough.
"What happened to you?" His voice is still shot, so he can only gesture at his temporary comrade.]
no subject
Hold still, you little-- [He words are slurring a little, like he's tired or drunk, and he doesn't even register Val trying to get his attention.]
no subject
As much as the coin didn't do much to him he's pretty sure Jotaro is a hazard for anybody else who encounters him like this.
He can't yell to get his attention and attacking him directly seems immediately like a terrible decision. They haven't finished clearing this area of fairies just yet.
Val has no ability to heal anyone but himself either. So his best option is... what?
He moves towards Jotaro and... starts shaking him gently. At the very least he'll get his attention, right?]
no subject
Thanks.
[Another fairy appears on Jotaro's other side, but this time he's ready and hits it before it can get him.]
no subject
They seem... okay? For now, at least. He doesn't see any more fairies, but they've clearly demonstrated their ability to go invisible.
Are they really done?
He'll look up at Jotaro for a signal.]
no subject
It sure is a good thing those fairies are gone. I don't think I could fight off any more of them with just my Stand to protect me.
[...Still nothing. Either the fairies are really gone, or they're not dumb enough to fall for such shitty acting.]
no subject
Unfortunately, his voice is still gone. So he has to settle with shrugging and pointing back at the town.
Ready to go?]
no subject
[They didn't get too far into the forest, so it's easy to start making their way back to what passes for civilization around here. Jotaro is way more confident than anyone who nearly got their ass kicked should be--he knows to be more careful next time, and that's way more important than how little he contributed to the fight.]

I'd figured that out. Didn't do me much good, but if I do do it again I'll know to watch my back and bring something I can whack 'em with.
[Mister Magically-Appearing-Sword Guy.]
no subject
You could get away with just punching them. Things that rely on magic are often weak to physical attacks and vice versa.
