t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. [Hunk sighs, drumming his forefingers against his arm.] I mean, me and my friend left here. Briefly, as far as time passing here goes but we came right back.

[She feels herself moving higher, but it takes a her a second or two to realize how or why that’s happening. There’s a small noise of surprise as she notices the water underneath her growing higher, and then she’s glancing between him and the column a few times.

Okay, one, put me down if you’re the one doing that, and two, what the actual fuck.

Are you saying you're not human? Where are your ears? Or your wings? Only humans are supposed to become prinnies.

[If this Luke person has committed sins then he should be a prinny, running around and tacking on -dood to every sentence he utters.]

When the sins are repaid the human is reincarnated with no memories of their past life or their time as a prinny. A clean slate.

[Despite the way he's dressed, he nods.]

[The water lowers again and she's set on her feet again.]

This isn't Washington. I'm not even sure it's earth, that part seems to be up for debate. Nobody's sure how we got here or how to leave on our own, so you might want to make yourself comfortable. [He doesn't answer about the water powers yet though. He's apparently going to take this one step at a time.]

I helped earlier and I'm tired now. [ Never mind the fact that he looks fit to carry all of said people on his back and shoulders like it's nothing, but he's definitely not going to go through with all that effort. He's done his share and it's over now? ]

Ah, so you're really not human after all? The wings kind of gave it away, but these days you never know...

Fresh out of those. [He looks amused.] What about half-humans? [He doesn't say anything else though because, well, that part adds up with the rebirth he knows about.]

Don't worry. [ Crowley's grabbing him by the collar of his shirt, hoisting him up from the water. ] The worst that'll happen is that I mess up the throw a little and you end up breaking your neck.

[ He... he kinda wants to hear him beg for him not to do that. Vampires, man, you can never trust them. ]

...It’s up for debate whether we’ve all departed the planet. Awesome. That’s great, that’s... perfect.

[A heavy sigh, as she glances towards the top of the well.]

I officially hate everything. How has nobody figured out how to get home?

Is that what you are? Half what? Even werewolves have demon ears and they were descended from demons and humans.

[ Was this person...speaking through their hand gestures? And why did Ghost find themselves understanding what they meant? ...Was this how Phos felt with the slug? They'd love to play twenty questions with the universe, but they'd been asked something. It'd be rude not to reply, even if it's not an answer to Ghost's own question. ]

Uhm, yes, [ Bit of a verbal stumble. ] The little one. [ Another stumble, as they realize further clarification is needed. ] The other Gem who lives here. [ No, wait, Phosphophyllite also lives here now. More specific... ] The bla... [ That doesn't work, either. The black crystal is white by virtue of the powder. All of this hmming and hawing is uncharacteristic of Ghost Quartz, but this seems to be a subject they struggle with. There's a bit of silence as the hollow crystal wracks their brain to explain, to find a new way to describe their old "roomie". ]

[He gets it about five seconds later and he nods suddenly.]

Yeah! Yeah, it's a machine that people here use to read and send messages. [He holds out a hand.] Can I see? [He's apparently here to give lessons in laptops, sorry Ghost. He's not sure how they feel about this, but it's important to know.]

( yuu used to be angrier. a lot easier to set off. more likely to throw down than to ever open his mouth and actually talk about his feelings, because it was safer that way. it was guren that got him to open up, guren that taught him that having feelings is okay, and guren who told yuu how important it is to have friends. to trust others.

guren who taught him the importance of messing around, too. even if it's just fucking around with his stuff. dex's laugh is returned with one of yuu's own, grin spread wide. )

Not sure. The group that got here before me have said the town was even more monochromatic when they showed up. Every month someone posts to the forum to give us quests but there's no other communication from them. So...someone's watching us, but nobody's figured out how to leave on purpose.

People leave without warning all the time though.

Ghost Quartz. [ They have to remind themselves not to comment on Hunk's name, that it is not, in fact, a type of gem they're unfamiliar with. They answer his question instead. ] An hour or two ago. Another Gem and I woke up in the well.

He won't let me. ( stupid guren. it's fine, he can find his own, it's no big deal. and he doubts it'd be that hard to find it either? eventually one of these houses will have a laptop, that's supposed to be his, even if yuu doesn't know what signs to look for that will mark a laptop as his own. )

I'm definitely not starting now.

( what the hell!! eyes widen as he watches sasuke. . stare at the shuriken, and turns his eyes to follow his line of sight only for it to fly it's way out of the tree. that definitely doesn't seem. possible. at all. eyes widen as he follows it's path back into this dude's hand, and under the cloak. )

( that's not normal. he's seen illusionists at work, seen magic, but nothing quite like that. )

( even if they were working on making everyone easier to find, yuu can't imagine guren would appreciate participating in that. there isn't. . anyone particularly bad here, from what he's heard. no enemies. but that doesn't mean that one won't pop up out of nowhere, right?

His house is the one that's bright colored, so I don't think it'd be really hard to find. ( with a loose lift of his shoulders. ) Unless there are a lot of those.

[ He takes a moment to stare Percy down. Well. If he said it, he must mean it it. Val doesn't have a doubting bone in his body so instead of questioning any of that he nods.

Then narrows his eyes. ]

And nobody's figured out how to talk to our mysterious kidnapper either, I guess? Awesome.

[She runs a hand through her hair, frowning, as she glances his way again.]

Cool, I'll just keep my fingers crossed I vanish tomorrow or whatever.

Oh, yeah. It's a great boathouse, definitely not going to tip over any time soon. ( mogget doesn't want to be fluffed, so jon's careful to dry him down, doing his best not to get his fur all puffy. brushing it will probably help a lot more than that though, but they'll get there soon. )

My dad's also here but my best friend is, too. He moved out on his own instead of living with his dad, and I didn't want him to get lonely--so I moved in with him. He's really great, you'll like him. ( or not. damian's a little. . sassy. snarky. can be difficult to get along with if one doesn't know him very well. ) I'm ten. And I know how to take care of myself a little. Mom and Dad made sure I could. I can even fix my own clothes.
