t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. [ He probably did mention it - Lottie is just terrible at remembering anything that isn't related to herself. ] Oh, right.. sorry! [ She feels like she should make an attempt to remember his, if not come up with some kind of nickname. ]

I'm Lottie Person. [ Robodude? Wellguy? As Lottie brainstorms, she gives him her own smile in return after his. The action, itself, catches her off guard, so instead of being refreshing.. her smile is more awkward. ] Yeah, I will, don't worry! We'll probably run into each other at some point.. This place can't be that big, right?

[ There's a small laugh after that as a buffer to make things less painful on her end. She definitely hopes this place isn't that big. ]

Hey, uh, if you ever figure out any working wifi, could you let me know somehow? I wanna at least try and use my phone once before it dies.

Is that what he told you? [He raises an eyebrow, not at all surprised. Demigods usually don't go around outing each other, so that sort of cover story adds up. He's about to comment on it when his brain catches up though.]

Wait. Nico told you that. Nico, like...about this tall--[A gesture to Nico's height]--dark hair, sort of looks like he's been sleeping in a cave for the last seventy years?

Yes. We had an interesting discussion about different afterlives. He called it the Underworld like you did. ... He did look like he could use some rest.

[ Define "nothing"... but then again, Momo can see the worry in those big, soft eyes, so he decides to play it all off for now.

Pulling back, he tips his head to the side. Watches and hums, before he decides on an answer. ]

I'm fine! A little wet, but no big deal. ☆ [ He exaggeratedly combs his fingers through his hair, and leans back to strike a mock-seductive pose on the pavement. ] —How 'bout it? Momo-chan's sexy gravure spread...! Do I get an A+ from the sexy beast himself?!

Which is to say— well. Momo makes a quick note to himself that this person is likely the no-nonsense type, the kind of person with either very little patience for smalltalk or very little frames of reference for them.

That's fine. He figures that a place like this could do that to someone, so he keeps smiling. ]

The kind that'd make you want to talk to me again! [ Shameless. It also happens to be true. ] How 'bout it? Do I pass?

[ Well, that's close enough. Knowing it was cramped is better than thinking it was mostly empty. Her flippant tone doesn't bother them in the slightest, their tone comes off pretty rude too even in passing. ]

Right. Are you one of those humans with powers? Or did someone help you out.

[ They're not one to judge, but it seems that most normie humans aren't able to climb out of the well on their own, unless they have a specific skill for climbing. Maybe she's stronger than she looks, they don't know. ]

[ They raise a brow at that, fixing him with a look that says oh, really now? That's interesting, and from what they've heard about Guren's home world, it's definitely not the cooliest place for some kid. ]

So you're in the... what does he call it. "Military", or whatever. [ Military like that doesn't really exist where they live, but from what they could understand it's just a bunch of fighters grouped together. ] What did you say your name was again?

[ They're deeply aware he hasn't said it, but this seems like a more natural way of asking for a clarification. ]

[ They'd be offended that they didn't even get any other sort of greeting before getting dragged right back into drama from home, but, such is the nature of their partner. It makes sense for them to ask of home so soon; they likely got the information they needed about this place from other residents, leaving Cairngorm to be the one to answer the questions about home. ]

Hollow Cape? What are you going on about...

[ They struggle a little in the other's hold, making an expression that's half confused and half Extremely Suspicious. Whatever this is, they don't like the sound of it. But they're also painfully aware that they are the only one Phos would dare hint at anything related to the moon with, since they're really the only one involved-involved. ]

Before they took me here, you'd just come back. You were pretending you didn't remember anything. [ They'll answer the question before Phos asks it. Even if they're aware being this specific with Phos might allow them to pretend they don't remember anything past that moment, they'll still say it. 'Hollow Cape' is proof enough that Phos has memory of home that Cairngorm currently doesn't. ] I was going back to sleep after you woke me up.

Yeah, the first one. I didn't exactly believe it at first either but I've been here long enough to realize certain things around the town respond to certain things that we do. The forest will do what it wants to do, the ocean will do what it wants to do...the town will give or take away color based on what things happen here...stuff like that.

Not sure who thought it'd be a good idea to give a town sentience, but here we are.

He's not wrong, exactly. [Poseidon is...technically...a fisherman. And he talks to fish, so?? Sure.]

He called it the Underworld because that's what it's called where we're from. The Underworld, and there are different parts of the Underworld. Nico knows how to navigate a little better than I do.

[Likewise, he won't exactly elaborate on what Nico knows.] He must have just shown up. [...that's awkward.]

[ That does seem random. The problem is, Ari doesn't really have one? He's never thought much about it before.

But he wants to reassure Farrow-dono, as he clearly looked alarmed over it.]

Do not worry overmuch. As I said, it does not often happen. And everyone will surely help you if that time comes.
As for the forest, yes, it doubtless as bad as you have heard. Strange, disturbing, and dangerous things happen there. Although the forest is also important for us continuing to complete the quests Mr. White gives, it needs to be approached with due caution.

[While Aizawa is never one for sunny dispositions, his expression becomes more pinched at the answer he provides. On one hand, All Might would be correct to assume such under most circumstances, and despite his seemingly aloof personality he's far more diligent than he appears. However, Chroma makes things... difficult.]

You've already been given an introduction on how strangely things behave here in Chroma. Unfortunately, one of those 'things' is time, and another is... memories.

[Aizawa pauses as he works to choose his words carefully before continuing.]

Iida Tenya and Yaoyaorozu Momo were previously here and left months before</> my own arrival, and yet neither of them mentioned anything about this.

[ she’s amused, though—“empath robot lions” sounds like a doozy, and it’s a lot to hear on her first day in the town, but it’s not like she’s going to get culture shock. she’s lived too long for all that. ]

Yes, he said he was essentially a prince of the Underworld. His father is the ruler there. Where I'm from he'd be a demon, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
