t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. Hm? [That's not what he was expecting so pardon the surprise.] Oh, you mean the flying thing? That is just part of being godtier. A couple of my friends from home who are here can fly, too. A lot of people here have some pretty cool powers.

[Leave it to All Might to make Izuku smile again. He gives a soft, little laugh, scrubbing his tears away. Sure, he's known that he and All Might were connected by the quirk that was passed on to him, but hearing it put that way shifts his perspective just enough to give him a whole new view.]

Oh.. I...I never thought of it that way. [Izuku breathes out quietly, staring up at All Might with wide eyes. His hand drifts up to grip at his shirt, right over his heart.] You said once that each wielder of One for All leaves an imprint behind...so that means I'm carrying something of you in here, doesn't it?

[ and she'll go to grab her notebook out of her bag. she scribbles her code on a paper, tears it out and offers it over. ]

I live out in Bluo if you need anything. I share my home with a young man, but I'm usually around during the day.

[ of course zelda doesn't know that sadie is familiar with said man. thems the breaks. ]

[ Being able to pick up on other people's thoughts and feelings is the last ability Nico needs. He already has enough emotional baggage of his own to carry around without adding other people's to it.

The figurine is of a man in a robe and the scroll looks worn as if Nico's looked at it a lot - which he has because he wanted to be mad at Leo when the other demigod came back to Camp. But neither of those items seem to be of surprise to the teen. It's surprising that Sasuke is missing items whereas Nico has gained one. Was there a limit to how many things could come with them?

A frown. ] If these are what I think they are, then they're from my stepmother's garden. They're... special. Eating one will put me in sort of hibernation state - meaning I'll sleep for an entire day, not needing food, water or even a lot of oxygen. It's called Death Trance because it's pretty deathlike, I was told only kids of my father could eat them and survive.

[ Nico has the childish urge to throw them away but if he has them, maybe it means he'll need it. Not a pleasant thought and he shudders visibly. ] I lasted about a week surviving on only these things when some goons put me in an air-tight jar.

I've got a camp I go to too. [ Wondering if those girls are actually demigods. ] Oh, it's definitely a lot of bad luck. Count yourself lucky you don't live over there.

[ Too many Greek problems. Even now they're having trouble. ]

China's okay, but pretty crowded. Avoid Las Vegas, especially the Lotus Hotel. If you go in, you might not ever come out. California's not too bad in the less populated areas but it has some pollution issues. I guess Long Island's not so bad. Italy, if you go to Venice it's a nice place to stay a bit.

It's a long time to be in an unfamiliar and abandoned place before we arrived.

[ Honebami notices that grimace at least. Maybe he should try to be a little courteous about that, he feels some sympathy if this guy is dedicated to his work and superior. He can nod a bit more positively about the available resources though, if that helps any. Those are pretty important, both to survive and ease someone's mind. ]

Yes, we have those at least, and you didn't arrive at a bad time either. People here are cooperative and want to make progess— we even have a new "ice house" to preserve food thanks to a nice young man. Are you particular about what you eat?

[ He would guess not, but you never know. ]

[ She seems to have a very up-front personality, which they can respect... after considering it for a second, they just sigh, shaking their head a little. ]

Well, no. I guess not. I just didn't expect it is all.

[ They're taking down a mental note that whatever that creature she turned into is called a "bat" though. So at least they learned something useful. ]

I haven't seen a bat before, so I assumed you were a monster... from that vile forest. [ A vague point to the woods around them. ] But you came from that well, instead, didn't you?

[ Those were almost all the bulletpoints they were going to go over?! But to mention the defense force bit so soon does seem a little odd. That's not something they hear from every new arrival, at least. ]

You must have talked to that Guren person. He doesn't waste any time recruiting you new folk, huh... [ They don't make the connection between the similarity of their uniforms, because it really could just be coincidence. ] I'm supposed to work for that force too, if you had any questions about it.

[ It's not every day one sees a giant horse-bird, it's true. Also does this guy only have one eye, because in the near-darkness it's actually kind of scary.

Not that Noctis is easily scared, but, you know. ]

Yeah, seems about that time. [ It's become a pattern; Noctis has stopped being surprised by well-people. ] I'm from the first batch that turned up here. You found your house yet?

[ Or has this guy been looking for his house on the roof... ]

[ of the details of their lives together? no. dextera doesn’t know enough about cairngorm, or about gems in general, really, to inquire too deeply into all of that without first consulting cairngorm about it.

dextera pauses at that, because it’s true that guren knows a lot of stuff—but he’s really not sure that the opposite is the same. he wonders how much there is about guren that he doesn’t know. ]

I've been here long enough, but there's only so many times you can get lost here when the town itself doesn't change much.

[Unless it decides to do something similar to the portals that appeared a while back, that is. Aizawa's expression softens to something more neutral when they cover their hair, and after a moment's thought he shrugs.]

I can take you there myself. [He finally offers.] I was meaning to go there some time today anyway.

[And if there's one thing Aizawa likes it's grouping tasks together to expel less energy.]

[ Momo betrays Sasuke's order: he stays where he is (the entrance hall) but he doesn't stay put. His damp sneakers track footprints over floorboard, soles squeaking gently in time to his idle pivoting.

He cranes and peers into an abandoned living room. This place feels scraped thin— he's glad when he hears Sasuke's reply ringing from another corner of the house, even if the word that's tossed back at him makes him feel like his ribs are pinching inwards. ]

Stars!

[ A half-lie, as he turns on his heels and does a spin for no one in particular. Using that momentum, he peers into another room. A beat-up kitchen. ]

[ninjanature]

[No. Talk to Guren. Bully Guren with children and teenagers. Guren deserves it.]

I've met him. Young than me, I believe, but an adult. Dark hair, purple eyes. He's in a uniform and carries a sword. [Sasuke basically almost described himself, minus the uniform and only partially minus the purple eyes.] Finding him should be easy for someone as smart as you, right?

[He would offer to go, gladly, but it's too good of a chance to pass up a test.]

You're right about it being the conventional way. If anything, it seems like it's the only way to make sure that the person is the real deal. [Aizawa frowns beneath his scarf, though he quickly elaborates.] Otherwise, this place likes creating illusions to confuse us. I haven't been here long enough to witness it myself, but I wouldn't be surprised if it tried to do it again.

[With that he shrugs.]

There might be a chance you might've missed him in the initial chaos, but I'd be both realistic and careful at this point.

[Oh no, he gets the Mr. dropped on him. Old. HE'S OLD. This settles it.]

Hello, Kaoru. [If he had been younger, the story would be different. People were searching for him, friend and foe. He was hunting and hunted. He had enemies.

But now isn't the same; he's powerful, he's more wise and less risky. If someone comes looking for him in the wrong ways, he'll know how to handle them.] No. You can tell whoever is asking.

[Special pomegranate seeds. Interesting. Nico seems to have quite the wild ride already, being so young. It reminds him of himself, of course. Again.]

Keep them. If you want to hide them, you can hide them here. You don't have to tell me where. I'll make sure no one is being nosy around the house.

[His eye shifts from the figurine to the seeds. Nico has an assortment of things. Sasuke... has shurikens and his sword. But he's missing his scrolls, missing the wire he typically ties to the shurikens for the purpose of surprise.]

What do you mean, "jar"? Literally?

[An old-timer then. Maybe this is why Noctis seems so casual about the place, fishing, riding a giant bird.]

I've found it. [For a moment, he's still, and then he begins to leap into the air. Except, surprisingly, he blurs and vanishes. The speed in which he moves is extremely fast--it looks as if he teleports from the roof to the ground near Noctis, though really he only jumped.

Doing so seems to have been effortless and balanced.] Did that creature come from the forest?

[ Godtier? There's nothing like that in his world, but it sounds cool. ]

[ Ari smiles sheepishly, palming the back of his neck. ]

[ He knows some magic, at least? But he doesn't consider that particularly impressive, when he's self-taught and a little clumsy with it. ]

[ Just a few years? She's surprised to hear that, but then again, as she remembers that awful museum in Columbia, maybe she shouldn't be. War is... much more common than she had really recognized. But still, a world war? She's curious what could lead to something with that title, and she makes a note to try and figure it out when she returns, but it also occurs to her quickly that she shouldn't have to. She's not going back to 1912 if she has anything to say about it.

But like wars, that's a little too heavy of a topic for a stranger. ]

That's fine. It's not exactly important here anyways. You just get used to people from all kinds of places and times.

[ She shrugs, looks around, then not being sure how to continue the conversation, just offers a bit awkwardly: ]

I... was making lunch when you showed up. It's not great, but it's filling. Do you want some?

[ She laughs a little, but it's definitely dry and sarcastic. ]

You and a lot of other people. I know it's not the only reason why, but I bet that's part of why Columbia seceded.

[ It's so obvious to her that she forgets to explain it briefly, and just continues on. Even for someone quite familiar with the concepts of other times and other worlds in a real, concrete way, it's not always easy to reconcile that the history she knows is the "odd" one for many people. ]

There's nowhere else like it, no, and I think that's for the best. It's... not really a good place. For a lot of reasons, that, um- [ She trails off a bit awkwardly, twirling the thimble around her pinky again. ] Well, it's complicated. You'll just have to take my word for it for now.

[ Though really, it's largely just personal why she doesn't have any love for Columbia. The technology may be amazing, but the fact that it was partially used to keep her a prisoner makes it much less endearing. So she pushes forth a smile, instead trying to get the focus away from her own shitty world and back to Connor's. ]

What about where you're from, Connor? It must have amazing technology of its own. [ To make you, she almost adds, but again thinks better of it. ] What year is it? Oh, and what's CyberLife?

Good call. It's hard to say if the punishments are from him or because of stuff we do, but we've seen enough of them already to get an idea. Usually it involves losing color though. My best friend ended up doing something months ago that didn't work out so great and he lost all of the color in our house until, like, two weeks ago.

It's been a while since we've seen you and Carter. [Throwing that out there at least.] It was January last I remember and then I showed up in the well. If it is a god, it's nobody I've been able to talk to or get information about.
