t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. [An old-timer then. Maybe this is why Noctis seems so casual about the place, fishing, riding a giant bird.]

I've found it. [For a moment, he's still, and then he begins to leap into the air. Except, surprisingly, he blurs and vanishes. The speed in which he moves is extremely fast--it looks as if he teleports from the roof to the ground near Noctis, though really he only jumped.

Doing so seems to have been effortless and balanced.] Did that creature come from the forest?

Whoa -- cool! You know how to warp, too?

[ Whatever Noctis was going to respond is momentarily forgotten, and color him mightily impressed! That was a nifty trick, and Noctis looks delighted. One day; one day he will be as cool as this guy when he's landing in front of someone else.

But wait, the stranger asked a question, and Noctis takes a few seconds to get himself together. ]

What, my chocobo? No, he came with me.

[ He is really a 'she', but yanno. ]

[ninjanature]

I see.

[So it isn’t a creature of this world. A creature of another one. Sasuke turns his attention back to Noctis.] Warp? It isn’t teleportation, if that’s what you mean. I’m moving, just very fast. Most people can’t see me with the natural eye.

What is your warping like?

[nascere]

[ Huh, that's amazing.

Noctis doesn't even bother keeping what he thinks about Sasuke's abilities to himself, because it's written all over his face. ]

Aw, man. That's really cool.

[ He wishes he could do that, too! ] Well, it's something like teleportation, and sometimes phasing. Like --

[ Whoop, he's now on the roof in a blink of an eye and a shimmer of blue-white. Crouching, he smiles down at him. ] Where'd you learn to do your thing from?

[ninjanature]

[He's pretty chill despite Noctis' jump, but one eyebrow raises when his head turns to glance up at the roof.] Hm.

I'm moving fast is all. I've trained since I was very young, increasing my stamina and endurance so I have more chakra. It allows me to move quickly from one place to another.

Yours?

[nascere]

Mine?

[ Noctis echoes, considering the question. ] 've always had the ability for it, I suppose. But I had to train, too. Don't have that thing called chakra, though. You could call it magic.

[ He pauses. ] Is chakra like magic? What else can you do with it?
