t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. Ah, that's really suspicious... He sounds like one of those bad guys who have swivel chairs and expensive-looking cats.

[ He demonstrates by spinning slowly where he's sitting, making mock cat-petting motions with one hand. ]

So this is just like one big game show to him, it sounds like? If that's the case, I guess we're gonna have to stir things up a little.

[ Good news, Mogget. He'll at least let go of your paw here, but he plops himself down next to the grump instead of leaving him to his own devices. At least he's out of his sunlight? ]

Hm. I can imagine you're not quite in the mood after coming out of the water. I don't blame you, it's just the worst.

[ But is he going to leave Mogget alone? Ha. No. Of course not. That would be silly. ]

Maya-san! It's really good to meet you— again, I'm Momo of Re:vale!

[ Not 'Momose Sunohara'; what people want from him is always going to be 'Momo of Re:vale'.

He laughs. ]

—But, mm! My darling's an indoors-kind of guy, so I don't think he'll make it here! He's not really good at the whole camping and survival thing, you know? So I hope he doesn't show up.

[ Just jk, though. Momo laughs after that moment of mock-distress, and waves with both of his hands. ]

[ A wink. Why is he like this. ]

Oh, really? I live there too. [ hmm. ] Most people tend to have housemates. If you have them, well, at least you'll have company.

If you're done packing, I've a neat trick to make the trip a lot easier.

So it effects the water, but doesn't stop plants from growing. [That's good to know. It might only be safe to drink the colored water, though, for humans.]

This is all very good information, thank you. And what did you say your name was?

Sardines. What are you, a cat?

I suppose I shouldn't complain. That's a lot better than having to rely on other people's generosity for food. [ anyway he prefers his blood remain inside of his body. ] I don't recommend going out the waters, though. It's too cold, and there are monsters in there. Last time we fought against sirens.

[ Momo's personal compass is haywire, tugging his feet in another direction entirely even as he wades through cobblestone paths overrun with tall grass; because he can feel his own push and pull, he doesn't question the surety of Sasuke's steps. It seems stupid to keep asking, because nothing about this place makes too much sense.

Speaking of sense, though. The Land of Earth???? Hidden Leaf??? Momo's Japanese enough to identify the vocabulary as something that would show up in His Japanese Animes, but that seems patently disrespectful, so. He keeps mum.

When Sasuke looks over his shoulder, Momo tips his head to the side. Attentive. ]

They're more like bedtime stories... but, haha! We all have someone in our lives who likes eating so much that they'd dine and dash, even at a stranger's place, huh?

Who's the special someone in your life that gives you trouble, Sasuke-san?

I can't drink human blood, I have to get nutrients somewhere.

Sardines are an excellent source of nutrition! They're a good source of vitamin D, calcium and protein, not to mention trace minerals like iron and selenium. You should eat some to keep yourself healthy.

Oh? What kind of monsters besides sirens?

[ Is this reaction exaggerated? A bit, maybe— but that doesn't stop Momo from rearing up and holding out both arms for a quick hug.

(After everything that's happened recently, back at home... well. Being overprotective of TRIGGER feels right, in a sense.) ]

The towels are nice, but your kindness is even better...! I just got here, so it's good to see a familiar face!

Of course. I essentially am a computer, just one capable of movement and expression. But are you saying you have computers here that connect to a network?

...Yeah! You're totally right. I'm sure everyone back home are all waiting for us to come home with a smile.

But if something is hard or tough for you, I hope you've found people here you can lean on! And try to keep your injuries to a minimum, okay?

[ Oh no... The Big Shiny Eyes. Momo is weak??? How can he refuse someone who looks so excited and expectant... how can he deny anyone from Having Fun and living their best lives!!!!

Which is to say, he has no idea how much terror he's unleashed... Okuni sure seems like a lively, upbeat person! Nothing at all ominous or bad about this at all, not in the least.

So. He beams. ]

Yeah! [ RIP ] I mean, the pranks should be harmless, and I don't know what kind of candy you'd find here...? But that sounds super fun, doesn't it?

[ Again, RIP. ] I think you'd make a really cute monster! The ones with springy ears and big paws...!

"Idealistic ... do you think so?" Jion looks a little sheepish at that, ducking his head and scuffing a hand through his hair. "I mean, I guess so, a little bit. But whenever I see knights dueling, or fighting for honor or something, it feels so different from whenever I've had to be in fights. It seems so much more meaningful, you know?"

A pause before he looks back up to Tristan. "But maybe you're right, maybe it's one of those 'grass is greener on the other side' things?"

[organfarm]

[ Jion looks politely boggled by that question, like Momo just asked him why the earth is round. There's a thoughtful pause before he answers, rubbing at the scarred bit of his cheek. ]

Well, I do like getting to help people. And it's not exactly what I was made to do, but I do feel glad that it's what the army decided to assign me to. So I guess in that sense, yes?

[ It's obvious he doesn't exactly understand what Momo's getting at. But he does notice that sheepish fidget, if only because it's the kind of thing he resorts to a lot himself. Maybe this is uncomfortable for a civilian to talk about? Totally understandable. ]

-- uh, anyway, what do you do? [ It's a somewhat hasty attempt to change the topic as he crouches down to retrieve Momo's jacket. He grins awkwardly as he holds it up. ] You were pretty good at that balancing thing earlier, so ... athlete, by any chance?

[organfarm]

[ Cleaning is more than fine. Cooking ... less so. To be honest, he's never really cooked anything himself, unless warming up MREs counts, so he grimaces a little at the thought.

What Giorno says next immediately distracts him from that line of thought, though. Jion gives him a curious look. ]

-- wait. A healer? [ Hypocritically, Jion's first thought is, 'you look kinda young.' ] Like, EMT?

[Honestly, it probably shouldn't work. There's no shock to Val shaking him, nothing to jar Jotaro's mind back into order in a traditional sense, but Jotaro's a giant marshmallow who's easily reassured by reminders that he isn't alone. His mind clears a little, enough that the next coin hits its intended target--and this time, the fairy falls to the ground and stays there.]

[Another fairy appears on Jotaro's other side, but this time he's ready and hits it before it can get him.]

[Connor would never judge someone based on how old they look. Plenty of young people know a lot about complex topics like quantum physics, and plenty of old people have never even heard of it, at least on his world.

He can't even imagine asking Hank to explain any theories of quantum physics to him. He'd probably say, "Ah shit, Connor, why are you asking me about that," and then move on.]

I see. It makes sense... A material that counters gravitation pull naturally must be very powerful. I'd be interested to see more of what that kind of technology can accomplish.

[But of course, they're stuck in this nightmare from the past. How did anyone ever function like this...?]

Is Columbia the only place like that in your world?

[He's not about to give her something to practice on, especially not if it involves killing himself, and he has no patience for some loud woman making claims she can't back up. He's definitely turning to leave this time.]

[Honestly he's surprised that worked at all. He was expecting a punch to the face or something along those lines. It's not something he'll question much.

They seem... okay? For now, at least. He doesn't see any more fairies, but they've clearly demonstrated their ability to go invisible.

Are they really done?

He'll look up at Jotaro for a signal.]

It's important that I'm able to calmly assess situations, so I can choose the most appropriate course of action. I was designed for detective work, after all.

[He also tilts his head.] It would be good to have as much information as possible, for exactly that reason. We're in this situation together, so we should work together to get out of it.

[Jotaro scans the forest, but he's not seeing anything either. He shoots a look at Val, then says, in a flat tone and loud enough to be heard clearly in case anything is lingering:]

It sure is a good thing those fairies are gone. I don't think I could fight off any more of them with just my Stand to protect me.

[...Still nothing. Either the fairies are really gone, or they're not dumb enough to fall for such shitty acting.]

Oh, but having a green thumb is also welcome in town - we always need help feeding people. If you can cook, that's already pretty impressive.

A word of warning, though - anything that hasn't had its color restored won't taste like how it should. [ a tilt of the head. ] And the way colors get restored here seem to be at random, though it does depend on certain conditions mostly set by whatever quests we have available.
