Event Ten.

Little Willie, mean as hell,
Pushed his sister in a well.
Mother said, while drawing water,
"My, it's hard to raise a daughter."

t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well.

(And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!)

What now?

Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. Hopefully they can get a hand out! For more information, please go here!

Meanwhile, the current characters have some new gifts.

If there are any questions, please ask them here, and have fun! Thank you!

If they are harming the townspeople, then it is but my duty to stop them. [ He doesn’t look too happy about it, though. Fairies are kind of a Big Deal when you’re from Arthurian times. ]

'Your duty'? You're a new arrival, aren't you? You've barely been in this town for a day. To decide on something like that is rather reckless.

[ but useful. and he'll make note of it. ]

Let's walk and talk. What's your name? [ looking at his instrument. ] Do you have to bring that?

You are quite inquisitive. [ He’s actually pretty amused by this. But he’ll go over all of Giogio’s questions one by one. ]

But I am called Archer. And I suppose all the rest of that can be answered with a “yes,” my fair young friend.

[ archer, alright. and if he's so attached to his harp then fine, he'll let him take it to the forest. at least he doesn't have to carry it for him.

as for being inquisitive, well, what else were they going to do? stare at each other? ]

Can it do anything else? [ is it a magic instrument. ]

[ Okay but can he just be chummy with Giogio without getting interrogated like a criminal jfc ]

Ah, that would depend on how the fairies might react to our little excursion. [ Better to keep your trump cards hidden away until the last minute, after all. ]

How dangerous did you say they were…?

[ nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnah.

as for that, giorno just shrugs. ]

We've no fairies in my world, I don't know what's normal for them.

They have a variety of magic that they use. I don't think they're particularly strong in terms of their physical ability. But their magic can be very annoying, and, well ... they're loud and they laugh too much. [ like the way women used to mob him in school. ]

[ rude tbh ]

Yes, they are prone to mischief. [ Not that he looks anymore pleased by it. ] But I have not had much experience with them. I only know that they are rational beings.

[ As rational as giving away magic swords to randos and promoting them to government positions can get, anyway. ]

Surely they can be reasoned with. I feel as though fighting them will do more harm than good.

Reasoning. Really. [ a tilt of the head. ] Sure, we can try that. If it fails, however, I'm blaming it on you.

[ giorno slips his hands into his pockets as they make their way deep into the forest. ]

[ Ah yes, the super dangerous forest a few people had told him about. And Giorno’s clearly already been here a while, judging by the ease with which he navigates the town. It’s fascinating, that he holds no fear of danger and doesn’t seem to care much about what the fairies might do to him. ]

Of course. Should a fairy curse us in retaliation, then I shall be happy to take the burden from you. [ He’s serious about this. ]

Though I wonder, after all, if you are willing to undertake something so dangerous with a child of misfortune at your side.
