t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. They can't be fired, but they can be imprisoned. Most will just have to deal with a downgrade in power. If they want more, they'll have to challenge me. [Yeah, this skinny stick of a vampire seems awfully confident.]

Humans do a good enough job of killing each other. Why are monsters bothering?

I'm sorry to hear that. [But he leaves it as simple as that, because he's not about to dig into someone's childhood when it's that dark. At least, not now. He wouldn't want some stranger to do that, either. He feels responsible for his own father's death, too, and a good chunk of them, if not all of them... Who knows if any are alive, I sure don't.

Anyway, he got the answer. That "Hokage" was his family, along with whoever he married and his daughter. And now, he can stay silent just out of respect for bringing up his dead other-family. Woops.]

Sasuke's biggest mistake is giving Momo even an inch to work with; Momo's databank of useless facts about people is ever-expanding, and he files this new tidbit as something he can weaponize against Sasuke later.

Which is to say, one day he'll show up at Sasuke's door with tomatoes. Again, RIP. ]

—Tuna flakes are super good, I love them too! [ Beam...ing, as he trails behind. The town is pulling him in another direction, but he ignores it for now; his heart can follow its own path later. ] Here's to hoping that there are things here that remind us of home.

[They meet in the middle by the board, ending how they began. Sasuke nods quickly and gently in greeting.]

A ninja is never seen. [There's no smile on his face, but there's a bit of humor in his voice.] The rest of the people here are like us, from what I can tell.

I haven't seen anyone I recognize. The few people I saw resembled us. The well could possibly be a dimensional technique... but it would require a great deal of power to transfer so many.

[He tries not to laugh at that comment. The mutant squirrel... a horror.]

Our houses started caving in around us if we didn't clean things fast enough, for the first big quest we had here.

[Why would he need a camera in his jacket? It seems very inefficient.]

But since you asked, I am required to inform you that my systems record everything I see and hear, so that in the event that I am damaged beyond repair, my memory can be uploaded to another Connor model to serve as my replacement.

[ Honestly, who is Nico to judge power by the size of someone? ] You their boss or something? Or just rich and powerful?

Guess they like the challenge or the way we smell. Most mortals don't even see them for what they really are so killing them isn't nearly as fun.

[The groups that are coming are getting smaller. He's not sure if it means anything, but it might be a clue.]

Who was the person you were talking to about? I might need to speak with her later, if she doesn't mind.

[He'd try to do it even if she did mind, but...]

[ While he hadn't been entirely sure that Sasuke would be back, it's nice to see that he did exactly that he said he would. ]

Huh, I should've trained to be a ninja instead. [ Instead of what, Nico doesn't elaborate. ] Don't know if I should be glad that we're not alone here.

Even if they resemble us, they could still be natives. [ Since Sasuke didn't see anyone familiar and neither has Nico, it's hard to tell. He turns to look back at the well with a thoughtful expession. ] I know a few beings powerful enough to pull it off but somehow I doubt it was them. They usually give us some vague prophecy we're supposed to fulfill before sending us out to potentially die.

Yeah. As of last month, we're pretty sure.

[It's possible it could have been restored before that, but everyone got food at their house that newly had color, including coffee, so he put two and two together.]

[ For all he knows, those two things have everything to do with each other. ] That sounds like an interesting story.

[ Shrugs casually. ] We are half-god or goddess, we have their blood running through our veins. The kids of more powerful gods draw more monsters.

[When Sasuke glances back and nods faintly in acknowledgment of the sympathy, it seems as if he must have reconciled some time of another with the baggage strapped to the back of what he has said.

There's no anger or bitterness in his expression even for someone missing one arm, someone being the sole heir to the clan name, the clan secrets, the clan title.]

[ Jion lets his words trail off with an awkward laugh because he's not sure how to finish that sentence. Well, that aside, his question. ]

Uh, anyway. I know it's kinda a long shot, but by any chance is there, like, a hospital anywhere near here? Or any place with those kinda facilities or supplies.

[ He sounds like he has specific things he's looking for. ]

[Sasuke will at the very most not be a high-and-dry kind of date. He'll escort Momo to Ruga after. Unless the two of them die along the way. And then he can casually break the news he's married. RIP Momose Sunohara.]

It's possible. We'll have to see.

[Unfortunately, Sasuke makes the worst conversation partner. He's quiet along the way unless Momo is the one who decides to initiate conversation. His focus is mostly on their surroundings and the way ahead to Flavo, the other portion on Momo in case there's danger.

Someone please save Momo from Sasuke Uchiha.]

[ It's been a long time since anyone's worried over him like that, much less for such a paltry wound. Jion looks a little startled by Tonbokiri's concern for a moment before blinking in realization. ]

Oh! Yeah, it's fine! Here -- [ He holds his hand out. The cut definitely happened, but fresh tissue's already started welling up inside, stopping the bleeding. ] -- this much is nothing.

[ Jion gives a sheepish laugh, pulling his hand back away since making anyone look at any injury for longer than necessary is still kinda gross. ] I'm made to heal quickly so I get kinda careless sometimes. Sorry for making you worry like that.

That part may be simple but somehow I doubt actually going up against Him was that easy. [ Nico's dealt with all sorts of gods and knows it's not that simple. ]

Sorry but I'm not going to cut myself just so you can get a whiff of my blood.

[she's good when she puts effort in, but usually it's just insulting doodles. But at the mention of Halloween, her attention span immediately switches.]
