t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. No, I don't believe there is... Not in the atmosphere, anyway. That is interesting, though. [Assuming it's real and she's not just making this up.] How does it stay up there? Does it ever have to come down to refuel and get supplies?

[Where would someone even land a floating city? Maybe it's more like a space station, and they just fly supplies to it periodically.

As fascinated as Elizabeth might be in an android, now Connor is fascinated by this.]

[A mysterious codename, huh? He's already been dealing with enough of that nonsense.]

No. There's some speculation that we'll go home once that happens. But it's more like wishful thinking.

[His jacket? He's not supposed to take it off... but, since this is in the interest of public safety (and decency) then some liberties can be taken. As long as he puts it back on once he gets out of here, it's not really a violation, right?

So he will take off his jacket, and hold it out to her.]

[This is all very good information to have, even if he doesn't make any logical sense. An entirely monochrome world? Colors coming back through missions? Is this some sort of video game?

But it lines up with the information he's gleaned so far, so he can't exactly refute it. He nods.]

I do not eat, but thank you for the warning, anyway. [If he needs to, he can pass it on to other humans/beings that have to eat.] Does the missing color affect anything else?

[He isn't really concerned about the jacket itself, though getting it wet isn't an optimal outcome. Oh well. It can be washed and dried.

Instead of worrying about the jacket, he looks at the hand on his shoulder, and then the distress on Momo's face.]

It's alright. She loves you, or she wouldn't have stayed with you this long.

[A beat too long passes, and then he reaches up and pats Momo's hand with his own.]

[Wow, that was nimble! Akira is impressed that he did that without clawing up his shirt.]

I think I still have one growth spurt left in me.

[So saying, he will start walking toward their destination! He's pretty sure he can grab an old fishing pole once they get down there, and something to use as bait. Easy.

Less easy: getting a fish that has color. He'll worry about that when the time comes.]

Never said I would. [But he's tugging on the bill of his hat now, a sure sign that he's just taken a shot to the chin. Time to deflect!] What are you writing there, anyway?

Nah, he apparently doesn't even drink human blood. But man, a ninja! This place is so full of cool people ...

[ Jion gives a slightly dreamy sigh. After being surrounded by the same types of people for ages, it's so cool getting to know all these people straight out of movies.

Which makes it all the more embarrassing when Momo asks if he's anything like them. ]

Oh, no no! Not really. [ Jion shakes his head with gusto, looking a little flustered. ] Nothing super-super-cool at all! But uh, I'm an engineered unit for the army. So I'm not a normal human. Still not as cool as a vampire or a ninja, though.

That's one of the least annoying places you could go for. I mean, it'd hurt, but it wouldn't be that inconvenient.

[Just casually giving advice on the most effective cat attacks, as one does. She doesn't seem to have any qualms about moving on quickly from that topic.]

Natalie. Please tell me you have a really embarrassing and cutesy name, that would make being here almost worth it.

[As he takes out the pumpkin, she glances towards it before looking back up at him. There's no motion to take it, not just yet.]

...Why are you giving this to me?

Maybe someday we'll learn his real name, which wouldn't really help us at all but might be moderately satisfying.

[She glances down at herself at his next comment, though, giving him a slightly flat look.]

Okay, even if that were true, what kind of decision making process would that be?

'A penchant for homicide.' How gauche. [ giorno makes a face. he's more serene than jotaro, sure, but also in a state of turmoil, his mind circling around dangerous thoughts like a viper, or an angry hornet bouncing off the walls of his brain. ] Based on what, a set of assumptions on my bloodline? You don't even know who I am. Or who I was.

You're right, by the way. I am familiar with the name. But if you're asking for a fight, I'm not here to satisfy your need for revenge. What's the purpose of that? To repeat exactly what you've been trying to avoid? [ giorno eyes him keenly. ] Do you want to die?

[ a pause, and then he adds, ] That being said, I'm sorry about your family. All my mother told me was that my real father was in Egypt, and he died there. And yes, he had golden hair. I imagine my Stand [ let's just get that out in the open ] is from him as well, because neither my mother nor my step-father had that ability at all.

[ now he can't add that he'd been wanting to meet him. he can't add how his father in egypt mattered so much to him that he kept his photograph. he can't add that he'd always told anybody who asks that his actual father is the absent one and not the one in italy who had to be taught not to abuse him. he can't tell him all of these things, the one person who may have had a personal connection to his father. giorno burns, wanting to hear him talk about his father, to provoke him into saying more, because he's hungry for this knowledge, and yet - the idea that his father nearly wiped out someone's bloodline .... that's enough of a reason for a man to be angry and to hunt down his son. he can understand him. he just really wished he didn't. ]

[ he doesn't answer until he's done dressing up, because it'd be a pain to repeat himself otherwise, distance making it difficult to actually hear each other clearly. giorno makes his appearance later on, dressed plainly - clothes that are plainer than he's used to, really - as he heads down to the kitchen area again. he sets down bobby pins and a comb on the table as he starts fixing his hair while answering his question. ]

What's your name? [ he fixes his hair steadily, painstakingly rolling his long bangs into prim curls. ]

This town is safe, for the most part. I thought that having someone rob me would make things exciting - just a break from the quiet of the town.

Of course it doesn't. You're a human. Naturally, it will sound unfair to you.

I don't know who Phos is; I haven't met them yet. But I'm familiar with Cairngorm.

[ hm. cairngorm had told him before that they didn't want to think of how their life would be if one of the gems were here with them as well. he wonders how they're doing, especially since there're three gems here now. do they know? were they happy about this? it's difficult to say. giorno has only met them for so many times. ] Do you all get along?

[ he's mostly fishing, because cairngorm is interesting. ]

[ At least Jion's finished cleaning up by the time Giorno returns. Which means he's all the more available to stare curiously at the sight of Giorno doing his hair. Man, he could never do anything that fussy on the regular ... ]

[ A tilt of the head when bobby pins come into play. So fancy. Maybe this guy's some sort of fashion person? ]

And man ... I mean, I guess I kinda get the logic, but your standards still feel weird. Isn't this town full of unusual people? Like vampires and ninjas and stuff. Wouldn't hanging out with people like that be more exciting than walking downstairs and realizing you got robbed?

Really? That's interesting. [ a tilt of the head. ] You know, I never understood why vampires are so fearsome. The idea of fearing someone who is constantly in a position of need is ridiculous to me, but I guess not everybody has the ability to resist them.

You're doing pretty good work, Yuu.

[ Rescue mission: successful. ]

[ Ari almost immediately collapses into grass surrounding the well, all strength leaving his body. He needs a moment to recover, but he'll be fine. ]

anyway, aigis at this point offers a small smile. ]

Somehow, meeting another Persona user who's here like I am makes me feel somewhat more at ease. Is that strange...?

Most creatures like to be left alone to their own devices - vampires and ninjas and ... whatever. Humans, too. To have someone come in and try to rob me means that they're going out of their way to do something bad or inconvenient to me. Don't you find that interesting? [ precisely because giorno is strong enough that he doesn't need to fear this. ] In a town this small, all acts of recklessness stand out, and I appreciate any attempt in petty crime. It brings variety to the table.

That being said, I know I'm odd. You don't have to understand.

[ he won't be talking for a while, he's got a bobby pin in his mouth and he's doing his best to tame a stray curl. ]

[This is making even less sense than before. Jotaro is dead certain that somewhere in the endless hours of traveling over the last couple months, someone would've mentioned it if there was a part of the world where people practice what really does appear to be actual magic.]

Where's this, in Europe?
