No ghost stories, then--hunting stories. Grand tales of a hunter defeating monsters ten times their size, against all odds stacked against them.

Oh heck yes! I've got tons of those.
[So very many. Bracers hunted all sorts of rogue monsters to keep towns and travelers safe.]

We've got tons of angry, killer insects, a lot of beasts like rinociders--they've got tough armor and hit hard-- and big cats, man eating plants, giant exploding eggs, and those are a pain let me tell you...
There's a lot of flying sharks near the coast, and giant crabs that have super tough shells. And then there's the sheep.

Those always travel in groups, and have some seriously nasty flying kicks.
