t's a dark night, and the sounds of feet in the darkness are further dampened and hidden by even more magic, as they are lured away by the soft sounds of dreams that are too good to be true, leaving the Town much, much emptier than when it began. On one side, an island, and a ticking clock to a gruesome death. On the other, the slow realization that those bonds everyone has been forging might mean much, much more than they first thought. [ They nod, accepting his alleged abilities quite easily. They've met a lot of strange people with strange powers, so it's not too hard to believe that someone would be capable of this. ]

Yes, I heard from someone else that abilities are weakened here, for whatever reason. [ They don't look at him while they speak, preferring to keep their eye on the cold waves. ] Do you feel anything else wrong with your condition?

[The fact they don't look at Shouto doesn't bother him at all. While he shakes his he also vocalizes it.]

Not really. I'm hungry and tired, but I don't think that has anything to do with this place.

[There's not a lot to eat. The creeping paranoia that the sirens will sing somebody else to the ocean also makes it hard to sleep.]

...I guess you would be. There's not much consumable here for you.

[ There's just...rocks. And more rocks. They haven't exactly been seeing many humans take to liking salt water, so they're assuming it must be bad for them somehow. ]

You can eat fish, can't you?

Yeah, usually they need to be cooked or cleaned.

... But it's probably fine. This is an emergency situation. I have to eat something eventually.

[He can't just sit here and starve to death. Not after he told Izuku he wasn't allowed to die.]

...I don't know anything about that, [ They're genuinely under the impression humans just heat up food because it tastes better that way. ] so you'll have to deal with it.

[ They cast their gaze back to the water, watching for any movement of the waves that would indicate that there are sirens nearby. ]

But I could help you catch one. I was helping someone else with it earlier.

I guess crystal doesn't need to eat- do you have organs?

[He feels like that's a no, but now he's curious.]

I can char it if you can get one.

[It'll just be hard with the way this island seems to dampen all of his powers. Wow. he hates it.]

No, I don't have organs. All I need is sunlight.

[ So they don't mind forking over whatever fish they find! It's been quiet over there by the water for a while, so they don't feel as nervous as they had when they initially moved up to this higher ground. ]

You're going to be fine up here? I'd tell you to come near the water, but they'll probably immediately go for you.

[Shouto'll settle himself so he can look out into the ocean- which is everywhere. He can see it wherever he turns. It's awful.]

I'll be fine. I can survive being up here for a while.
