Event Nine.

Thus, on Life’s gloomy sea,
Heareth the marinere
Voices sweet, from far and near,
Ever singing in his ear,
“Here is rest and peace for thee!”

t's a dark night, and the sounds of feet in the darkness are further dampened and hidden by even more magic, as they are lured away by the soft sounds of dreams that are too good to be true, leaving the Town much, much emptier than when it began.

On one side, an island, and a ticking clock to a gruesome death.

On the other, the slow realization that those bonds everyone has been forging might mean much, much more than they first thought.

Welcome to Awash's ninth event log, everyone! Further information on this event can be found here at the OOC post.

Right.

[Guren sighs out, particularly heavy, but moves to head back with Aizawa. Really, the chaotic way things have been going, people have been returning on the rafts already. Leaving the prone kidnapees to be susceptible to the siren's song seemed too dangerous. But Guren isn't sure who all left...

Still, he can get a good idea from looking at who is at the shore now. His fingers stay curled around his sword, and the curse marks aren't going anywhere right now, but he walks briskly, and silent.]

[The trek back to the rafts is a quiet affair, though it's less because of Aizawa's personal preference and more because of the sheer exhaustion that's been building up over the course of the past several days. Still, they're far from done, and Aizawa wastes no time checking to see if everyone he recognizes is accounted for.

Of course, he's only familiar with a fraction of the people here, and so after he's finished he glances back over to Guren for his affirmation.]

How's it look?

[Guren scans the beach, and when that's not enough, his eyes land on an empty spot a little too long. It's Mahiru, not that anyone else can see that. But she's smiling, hands folded behind her back as she floats carelessly above the rocks. "I can't go much further than this, here, Guren. You're on your own."

The one time that's inconvenient. He clicks his tongue at that, and lets his gaze push back to the rest of the island.]

It's probably everyone, but it's hard to say for sure. A lot of the rafts left already. I can remember who I saw, but I don't know who might have left while I was gone.
