t's a dark night, and the sounds of feet in the darkness are further dampened and hidden by even more magic, as they are lured away by the soft sounds of dreams that are too good to be true, leaving the Town much, much emptier than when it began. On one side, an island, and a ticking clock to a gruesome death. On the other, the slow realization that those bonds everyone has been forging might mean much, much more than they first thought. Same to you. It's not everyone, but if there's any pattern to who's missing, I can't make heads or tails of it.

[ it seems completely random - it also seems to have randomly taken a good chunk of Lupin's friends regardless, which is even worse. ]

... I was pretty worried you were gone with the others.

Yeah... I don't know what rhyme or reason they used to pick who to take, but... somehow, people have definitely been kidnapped or something. I don't think the people who are missing would have left without saying anything.

[ at that, he nods, giving Minato the best reassuring smile he can muster. ]

I suppose the forest is the first place we should check.

[He's definitely frowning, though...the forest fucked people up so much last time they made a serious effort to go into it.

We'll go in groups, at the very least.

Right. It's necessary, so we don't have much of a choice anyway.

His brief moment of light-heartedness fades quickly as he returns to the topic at hand, however. ]

So... Who have you noticed missing? I know Akira is gone. [ because Akechi's blown a gasket over it ] Maya and Cairngorm, too.

[He frowns in response; he hadn't known Akira and Cairngorm were gone yet, and that's alarming too.]

... Ochako-san, Todoroki-san and Caramia-san too... John and Kitagawa-san...

[And more people he hasn't had the chance to look for yet.]

... A lot of people are missing. More than we've had to deal with before, other than when we were split up by color...

[ so both of the other phantom thieves are gone. Lupin has to imagine the two of them will be working hard to escape whatever predicament they're in, at least. Unfortunately, their skills don't really matter when their disappearance is more likely to be magical than a regular old kidnapping. ]

Yeah, I was thinking about that, too. Back then, we just had to wait... but sitting around doing nothing doesn't feel right.

No, I don't think so either.

[Just sitting around when their friends might be in danger...? No way. It doesn't suit either of them, and there's no way they can contentedly just sit back and hope for the best.]

We don't have a quest or task guiding us this time, either.

We'll have to figure it out on our own--which just makes me think we need to find them ourselves even more.

We're on the same page, then. Between the two of us, we'll have this sorted out in no time.

I need to see who's missing, and just sending messages takes too long... [Especially considering people may not even be at their computer.]
