WHAT: Flower crowns! Teach each other to make flower crowns, exchange them with each other, succeed in questing

[At any point during the month you may come across the community gardens in the Town and see a couple of different set-ups.

For one thing, someone created a sign painted with purple paint that reads "FLOWER CROWNS HERE."

For another thing, there are bushels and bouquets of different kinds of plants and flowers that have their color restored that have been gathered.

And finally, there are smaller slips of paper that read "RED", "YELLOW", and "BLUE."

At least once a day people passing by the garden will find John sitting there and monitoring the situation. Anyone who approaches will be greeted with a large grin and a wave.]

You saw the forum, right? I thought we could all make this a little easier on each other.

[Grab some flowers and some friends! Questing has never been so easy.]

But that’s something you can get better at with practice. Then again, I guess the flowers might not really appreciate it.

[He chuckles-- he does appreciate her honesty, it's refreshing. Another shrug and he stands with his mangled collection of flowers, humming thoughtfully and walking up to her. He sets one of the loose flowers atop her head very carefully, grinning.]

I'll have to work on the crown part later.

[Her own smile is amused as she raises an eyebrow at him.]

Well, they never said how many we needed to have, right?

I mean I don't think that counts as a crown even remotely.

[He makes a face, but he chuckles anyway, tossing his head toward her handiwork on the doorknob. Whoops, Shiho, please don't kill him for that.]

You'll have to teach me sometime, you look like you're pretty good at it.

[She’s putting him on her hit list.]

[That isn’t a no though because she will definitely teach him if he wants to learn.

[His hands go back into defensive submission mode, but he's grinning crookedly at her now.]

Look at what? I don't see anything. [But really, please teach him how to not suck at flower crowns.]

[That grin doesn’t fool her for even a second.]

You definitely see it. [Which is why she’s going to walk away from it now and closer to him in the hopes that moving away from this area means he’ll stop teasing her about it. Hopefully.]

So do you need me to teach you or not?

[Good, it shouldn't. He's grown up with five identical brothers, teasing is literally all he knows how to do. He scuffs his sandal against the ground, shrugging.]

[She would probably have been making fun of him instead because that’s how she’s chosen to live her life.]

[He nods, frowning slightly.]

Guess that makes sense. Uh, [He still has a bunch of flowers in his pocket, which he extracts carefully.]

[He recoils from her fuss, shaking his head. He'd never considered she'd be anything but, really, given even if she's been firm and occasionally a touch threatening in their interactions, overall he's found her quite nice. But he's also used to a very violent screeching banshee of a childhood friend, so his view on girls is a little bit skewed.]

That... wasn't, [He holds out the flowers, because hell if he knows what to do with them.] This is just kinda embarrassing, I guess.

Everyone has stuff they’re not good at doing. [For her it’s dealing with ghosts. And talking about her feelings.]

But if you’re willing to learn, I won’t let anyone make you feel bad about it. [With that she takes his flowers and leads him over somewhere they can sit down (and out of sight of that doorway with its flower crown).]

[Never tell him the former, but he feels you on the latter. He moseys along after her and chuckles, finding it funny that a teenager is being protective of him when he's probably almost ten years older than her not that anyone can tell.]
