[At any point during the month you may come across the community gardens in the Town and see a couple of different set-ups.

For one thing, someone created a sign painted with purple paint that reads "FLOWER CROWNS HERE."

For another thing, there are bushels and bouquets of different kinds of plants and flowers that have their color restored that have been gathered.

And finally, there are smaller slips of paper that read "RED", "YELLOW", and "BLUE."

At least once a day people passing by the garden will find John sitting there and monitoring the situation. Anyone who approaches will be greeted with a large grin and a wave.]

You saw the forum, right? I thought we could all make this a little easier on each other.

[Grab some flowers and some friends! Questing has never been so easy.]

[Give him a moment, And he'll allow a red flower crown to drop out of his sylladex into his hand, waggling it at Dave instead.]

You can fly. [ ...but dave drops to one knee again anyway. ]

[Dave drops to a knee and John stands on his toes anyway just in case, resting the flower crown on his head and making sure it doesn't mess up his hair too much.]

So does this mean I don't get to be your knight anymore?

As the heir, I think it is more important that my knight is worthy of being my knight. And since we are using flower crowns as a basis of worth, I am pretty sure you're fine.

[parodeity]

I should earn more than one flower crown since you like me best, then?

[windeity]

[He just laughs instead.] What kind of logic is that?

The most logical kind. Where are my best friend perks??? They should be kicking in about now. You have known me for years, I absolutely deserve a spectacular friendship prize. Besides your spectacular friendship.

[windeity]

You living with me is your spectacular prize. But if you insist. [Give him a second and he'll also drop a matching flower bracelet out of his sylladex? That's helpful.]

[parodeity]

[ there is a stunned pause, before dave starts to kind of quietly laugh. ]

Dude. Did you pre-make a bracelet for me? Oh my god am I really that predictable.

[windeity]

Maybe a little. [He holds out the bracelet to Dave, shaking it a bit so that he'll take it from him.] Or we have been friends long enough it made sense to me. Take your pick.

[parodeity]

[ no. dave holds out his right hand so john can put it on personally. ] Did anyone else get the royal treatment, or am I that special?

[windeity]

[What a dumb cat. He rolls his eyes, but he's absolutely slipping the bracelet on.] I didn't have time to make more bracelets. [...nor did he think about even doing so in the first place, so no, it's just Dave.]

So I'm top of your list for floral bling? I'm flattered. [ he actually is, and he's examining the bracelet? ] ...How are you better at this than I am. This is unfair.

[windeity]

You can stop acting surprised, idiot. [But still all the fondness in the world so?? He laughs though before wiggling all ten of his fingers.] I'm good with my hands? Playing allows a kind of dexterity that makes this way easier after Ochako showed me how to keep these things together.

[parodeity]

Hot. [ deadpanned in his usual drawl. ] But seriously, I guess I'm just bad at the finicky stuff sometimes. I mean, I'm gettin' the hang of sewin' more bullshit than I used to. It even looks like it wasn't done by a blind troll.

[ is he calling out terezi, or. ]

The hobbies Dad taught me require a weird amount of minute precision so I guess that also helps. I don't think I could ever sew though, so I will leave that up to you guys. [But that's a little impressive.] What'd Dirk have to say about it?

He pretty much only ever has positive stuff to say to me. [ DIRK IS LIKE... ] ...He's kind of like, how I always insisted Bro was?

I do not think he always fully believes me when I say I like him though.

Sometimes I still think you guys have a really weird situation when it comes to the whole other timeline thing. Dirk told me a little about Jane and she sounds like what I imagine Nanna would have been like if she were actually alive and young. But it's not a bad thing. Give it time.

[parodeity]

He's only really talked about Roxy to me. Says I'm like her? [ which he wouldn't know, he's only seen her sleeping once, so... ] Sometimes he reminds me of Rose, don't you think? Like...they have the same mannerisms sometimes. S'relaxing.

[windeity]

[Hm...he even says "hm" out loud since this require concentration before there's a very methodical nod.]

You and Roxy are both very easy to get along with. [There's something off in his tone actually, but it's mostly a brief blip of "I miss her" before he shifts away from that.] You're both kind of ridiculous and chatty and go off on tangents but you're also both very nice and smart and easy to relax around. I can see why Dirk said it. But also yes, I can see that. I haven't known Dirk that long, but we both know Rose. They're a lot more eloquent than the rest of us even if they're both secretly dorks, too.

[parodeity]

[ dave's eyebrows go up, honing in on the "off" and unsure if he wants to ask or if he's allowed. john sometimes can be cagey about how he actually feels, and dave isn't sure he feels like asking john about girls just now. ]

I'm not sure how big a secret the dorky thing is. [ he settles for casually allowing john to dictate the topic switch instead, voice careful. ]

[Maybe for the best, given how things went the day before since I just realized icly that sure was just the day before. Oh well. But simultaneously he's working on honesty and he doesn't notice what Dave might be thinking.]

All four of you are actually pretty goofy in your own ways, but I think that is what is hilarious and cool about you guys. [Hm.] If she ever came here, you'd like her a lot. Think Rose would like Dirk?
