WHERE: pretty much everywhere around Chroma
WHEN: all of August
WARNINGS: does kumou punkshittery count
A; meet okuni in THE PIT, that or just help her out
[There's no stopping Okuni now that she knows precisely what Meet Me in the Pit means. She has the Perfect Plan to collect as many pit fights as she can in the span of a month.
The Perfect Plan being digging actual pits around town, because surely every pit will lead to The Pit (it does not) and every person who accidentally falls in will immediately be at her mercy (they won't....). Anyway, catch Okuni either
a.) in the middle of digging a pit, her physics-defying hair just poking out enough to tell that she's there
b.) approaching you with a shovel in her hands??? She's smiling cheerfully, surely this will go well. if b, then Okuni will happily greet you first,]
You don't seem like you have anything important to do. [polite!!] You should help me instead!
B; meet okuni IN THE PIT but first, a Mutsu-intervention
[Okuni is as skilled hand at pitfall traps, which all her pits are UNFORTUNATELY, and most of the leaves and detritus covering each hole looks perfectly natural. so unless you have a second sense for pitfall traps, then you're probably about to have a Bad Time...]
Hehe...
[UNLESS YOU ALSO HAPPEN TO HEAR THAT OMINOUS GIGGLE FROM NEARBY, nice okuni...
whether you fall in or not (Okuni is hiding nearby in the bushes and probably radiates punkshittery vibes, call her out if u like), Okuni is just about ready to wreak havoc like she was born to do except
A hero exists today, by the name of Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki, who is hanging around because SOMEONE HEROIC has to SAVE PEOPLE FROM OKUNI'S VILLAINY
[this is a tag-team/thread jack option! with both Okuni and Mutsu!! basically Mutsu IS HERE to save you, and Okuni pouts a lot about how she wants to properly prank y'all.]
C; flower crowns bc honest feelings are terrible
[Okuni takes temporary breaks from being an ultra punk-ass long enough to sit around outside, fanning herself with a hand. She has a scattering of plants around her, mostly ear-wiggy looking weeds and suspicious foliage, and also a Bucket.
Anyone who peers into the bucket will see a mass of earthworms and also other bugs, hm.]
Don't touch that!
[that's hers!! she's intent on making a few flower crowns for the quest (badly until Ochako teaches her the Ways), but also hit her up if you want to tell ur honest feelings about how Okuni is just ANNOYING AND WEIRD, she'll be tickled pink.]
wildcard;
[a general catch-all for other quests!!! or for anything that strikes ur fancy!! pm osuni or plurk me at yaylikeawon if u'd like to do more plotting!!]

Once she reaches out for it, Shouto gives it over.]
That's what it's for.
[And it's a much better looking crown than the one that showed up at home.]
no subject
Okuni slowly props it on her head, even if her big hair is slightly in the way. success!!]
I'll make sure to tell everyone who asks that you gave me this after beating me up! [okuni.... she laughs tho, clearly unbothered.] It's surprisingly nicely-made, huh? You must be skilled at other things besides fighting.
no subject
Mm. You think so? Uraraka taught me how to make these weeks ago. It's good to have something to do. She's a lot better than I am.
no subject
but Okuni's fine, she basically expected that reaction from him.]
So you're friends with Ako-chan too! [how many of the pures are already friends!] Is she from the same place as you and Izu-chan?
no subject
... Ako-chan? [Does everybody know his two friends from home? He shouldn't be surprised, they're both social. But the nickname throws him again.] Yeah. We all go to school together at home.
no subject
[The BNHA cast gets the cutest nicknames, it's a fact.]
Is there anyone else here with you? Any more heroes-in-training or friends of yours -- or perhaps even enemies?
no subject
Iida and Kirishima left a while ago. But Aizawa-sensei is here. He wears a lot of black and... I guess they look like bandages? Around his neck.
I haven't seen any of our enemies.
no subject
Well, I'd say that I hope that continues, but I have faith that you and your friends will be able to handle anyone who arrives.
[She has 100% faith in Shouto's abilities to kick potential villain butts.]
Though if anything does happen, then you're welcome to ask me for help. I always like the chance to beat more people up.
no subject
Thanks. I'll keep that in mind. [Wait.] ... Are you carrying a weapon? [Is she just going to beat people up like Izuku beats people up?]
no subject
[okuni wishes she could beat people up like Izuku can....
At the question, Okuni pulls her iron fan out from her sleeve and flicks it open to show Shouto. She has a sword too, but it's mostly concealed by her kimono.]
Here! I have a sword too, but mostly I just use whatever I feel like fighting with.
no subject
An iron fan? Then she's probably used to close quarters combat. Swords are probably midrange? Shouto's never had to fight anybody with a sword before.]
Huh. I didn't know you had those on you.
no subject
I try not to be too obvious about them, since I'm not a haughty stuck-up samurai. [blanket apology for all non haughty and non stuck up samurai living in chroma] Women don't usually carry weapons where I'm from, but you never know what can happen.
no subject
It's safer to have some way of protecting yourself. Especially in a place like this. [Who knows what danger lurks around next week? Not Shouto.]
no subject
[Okuni has met like maybe two, but still!!! STILL]
Most warriors think themselves better than everyone else purely due to their familial circumstances... It gets tiring to hear that all the time.
no subject
But his expression goes dark for a moment. It would be a stretch to say murderous. For another he looks tired.
It takes a few seconds for it go go back to normal.
And the only thing he says is...] Yeah.
no subject
she leans over to poke him in the arm.]
There are a lot who are just like that, but -- there are strange exceptions whose actions speak for them instead. It's always what you do that matters most in the end.
no subject
I've always thought that too. You can say whatever you want, but what you do makes more of an impact.
I give Izuku that advice when he was trying to figure out how to talk to a kid. He got punched in the balls. [There goes most of his tension.]
no subject
Then she immediately buRSTS INTO LAUGHTER... SORRY IZUKU]
Did he get punched because he was trying to follow your advice? Or did he get punched just because?
no subject
No, he got punched before I gave him that advice. He went up to talk to the kid and he got attacked.
The kid didn't like us being around and Izuku was the first person who approached him. So.
no subject
So he was just unfortunate enough to become a target? [OKUNI LAUGHS AGAIN] Kids are annoying, but you have to admire their honesty!
no subject
More people should be as honest as kids. It would make things easier.
[Of course Shouto would like that.]
no subject
The way Shouto says that reminds her of another very honest pain in the butt she knows...]
No way, that sounds like it'd be a pain to deal with!
[where would okuni be if everyone in the world was honest!!! out of a job probably]
Honest people always end up being super stubborn.
no subject
Yeah. There's nothing wrong with being stubborn. Everybody I know is stubborn someway or another.
no subject
Ehhh... [NO, STUBBORN PEOPLE ARE A PAIN SHOUTO!!!] Maybe it's something all heroes-in-training have in common?
no subject
It's a hard career. Only really stubborn people get all the way into the hero course.
