The heart's dearest solace will smile on me there. No more from the cottage again will I roam, Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home. | |
Welcome to Awash's eighth event log, everyone! Further information on this event can be found here at the OOC post. |

[ Elizabeth reaches forward to press a simple silver button that matches the decor of the entire box. It whirls to life with music-box style music and lights. It sings a little "Ready...?" and at the beat of the music, a "GO!".
Out the "moles" start to pop, though of course for a city in the sky, it's a little different. Rather than rodents, its seagulls, apparently? They must be a similar kind of pest. And once the game starts, Elizabeth starts to thwack them with the soft mallet, though it does get more difficult as the quick game continues. ]

She begins whacking as hard and fast as she can...]
Th-this is ... a little harder than it sounded!

[ But she laughs, since this is fun. She'd only seen the beginning of a game when she passed through, so seeing now how multiple pop up at once, how it's impossible to actually hit all of them, she gets the challenge. ]
I don't think you can even hit them all!

[this... probably isn't the place for inspiring pep talks]

The game isn't very long, so the music tapers off with a happy trill, and all of the moles retreat into their holes with the sound of turning gears. A placard on the machine shows a score of 16, which is decent, but definitely not all of them. Elizabeth giggles as she stands back, then waits to see how Maribelle does with her own game. ]

7.]
What?! That's all?! This machine must be broken, I definitely got far more than that!
[she absolutely did not.]

Well, again? We know how it works now, so we might be able to beat it.

[this might be a long day]

That's really not as simple as it looks... I wonder if anyone has ever gotten a perfect score?
no subject
No one! No one has ever gotten a perfect score on this blasted thing, I refuse to believe it!
