he Town is quiet this week. No sudden quests on the forum post, no roars of werewolves in the distance... just peaceful, peaceful quiet. Of course, it's hot as hell right now, but that aside, it's pretty pleasant. You probably don't want to wander around the Town right now, but... Naturally, now's when the Town is going to start thoroughly encouraging you to do just that. You do want to find your doorway back home, don't you? Better get searching! Kitchen knives. We don't have any good ones. [ "We", Tenn says, and it's a bit surreal that they've all just sort of formed one household unit these days, but he'll accept it all the same. Everything about this place is weird; there's no point dwelling on it anymore.

At least Tenn is practical about things. ]

Do we have any salt? [ It's one of the most important things Tenn can immediately think of, at any rate. ]

[ Kitchen knives in Tenn's hands.... Gaku's not sure he's a fan of the idea, even if Tenn does have a point.

Salt, though. That seems like a better idea, and Gaku picks up a container of it. ]

Nope. [ Pause. ] ... If it's already white, do you think it'll taste the same...?

[perfectennist]

Even if it doesn't taste the same, it should work for preserving things. [ A beat, and then: ] Things we bring from here might not be subject to the same rules as the things native to that place.

[ Tenn doesn't know, because food wasn't as high on his priority list as an emergency stockpile of inhalers for Riku, but, you know.

At any rate, he slides into one of the seats, putting his elbows straight on the table like he has absolutely no manners. ]

If you make soba taste the same here, I'll take some.

[ Please, he'll take anything that tastes good and familiar at this point. ]

[ Gaku sighs. ]

If you're hoping for something as good as we usually serve, you're out of luck. I'm not as good as mom.

[ Gaku's willing to be arrogant about a lot of things, but not this. ]

I'll feed you, but no complaints.

[perfectennist]

I won't complain. [ He might critique if they were at home, but there are some lines that shouldn't be crossed, and insulting Gaku's family soba when he's being feed for free is definitely one of those lines.

He hasn't exactly been making an effort to be any nicer, now that they're in Crazyville, but at the same time he hasn't been quite as acerbic as normal -- largely because the normal goal of "being an idol" isn't exactly present. Riku's constant presence near Tenn can't be forgotten, either, because it isn't like anyone can be too mean when Riku is in proximity. ]

Anything is better than what we've been eating.

[recommending]

No arguments there.

[ He's tired of eating things that taste like ash, even if it is nice to be spared Tenn's constant need to be a catty bitch. Thus, reassurances received, he serves up a bowl for each of them and is sitting down across from Tenn just a moment later. ]

Let's eat.

[ It'll be nice and relaxing. ]
