he setting is actually rather miraculous. In the center of the Town, not far from the well, there are tables set up, complete with bright orange tableclothes, and at the tables, there is a spot for each and every character, both new and old. They have a fancy

Well. None of us are really sure. We've decided to call the town Chroma. All we know is that wherever this is, it's not where any of us came from and that we've been brought here from different worlds.
The good news is! [Because good news is well, good, right?] Everyone's been working together to figure this place out! And with everyone pitching in like that I'm sure we'll figure out what's going on in no time!

Wait, wait, so literally everyone here's all been dragged in from different dimensions? Like some kinda massive-scale multiversal Out of This World kinda scenario? [ beat. ] Actually, that's not the best comparison, but seriously, what the hell?
And yet we cannot live without it.
Yeah. Some people are from places with magic and there are these other kids from a world almost everyone has super powers.
What's "Out of this World"? [A movie maybe? Or some kind of video game?]

[ anyway!! a distraction! a distraction is good! ] Oh, it's this video game? A pretty old one, but I dig that kinda thing. It's about this scientist who accidentally opens a hole in time and space and gets sucked through to an alien planet. He even has to climb out a pond when he first gets there.
We have no one to blame but ourselves.
[Oh, videogames! She's not that into the old ones but video games in general were a thing she's missed.] That does sound like what's happening to here. [Just replace 'pond' with 'well'.] I play more of the new stuff. Oh, and online games too! I hope the guys I normally play with are doing okay without me there...

How does that work time-wise, I mean, is this like a Narnia gig where if we ever figure out how to get back we'll wind up right back when we left, or is time passing back home right now?
