[ open ] DEFENSE FORCE MEETING
Who: The Defense Force & anyone who wants to listen in!
Where: Town Hall
When: 7/3
What: Defense Force meeting! These happen every other month.
Warnings: None
With everyone’s help the past two months, the town hall is looking in pretty fair shape considering how they’d first found it. Currently, this is the best place they have for the meeting, and Guren reminds everyone of the date with a simple message to their inbox. Date, time, place. Of course, it’s not fully furnished, and it could still use more than a little help, so feel free to help with any of that— but Guren already has some topics in mind. When the time hits, and it looks like everyone who’s coming has made it, he’ll start addressing points. Don’t interrupt him, or he’ll literally kick you in the face anime gag style, please.
OOC
Hey everyone! So here’s my first attempt at an actual meeting log, please go easy on me as plenty can change for the next one. I’ll be posting six top levels below for various prompts for characters to discuss. After that, you’re free to top level on your own, or comment under those to discuss those particular topics in a specific area! Guren will not be too active in discussion for a reason— the purpose of these meetings are to get input from the rest of the force, so he knows how to move forward with it. I’ll be reading everything to keep up with it, and he’ll be listening and watching! A few topics below have sign ups, both to make it easier on me and to make it more fun for everyone else! I’m sorry there’s so much to read I get too excited about these things.
Important links:
MEMBER LIST - This has the current list of all members, that I’ll keep updated, as well as a directory of links for convenience so you don't have to keep finding this log.
TEAMS AND OTHER ASSIGNMENTS - Teams, sparring, special projects, etc.

BOGEYMAN & WEREWOLF EVENT
With the topic of the bogeyman, it’s a little more personal. He claims responsibility first and foremost, and then goes on to say that thankfully those people have returned, but that they can’t play with human lives. He doesn’t want to make that mistake again. He points out that it was brought to him that he took too few people, but counters that too many people can cause disorganization and wants to hear people discuss that. He says people can talk to each other to work out ways to better handle large threats like this from the whole town, since smaller groups trying repeatedly and a rather larger group of 6 at the end finishing it off still lost three lives.

I wonder if there's a better way for everyone to get on the same page in emergencies like that...? I know we have the laptops, but people aren't always able to be around for them, especially if we're patrolling or an emergency is happening.
[Boy it sure would be convenient if they had jamjar cellphones now!!]

If nothing else he decides to quietly, with some hesitation, offer that maybe numbers might not be the big problem here. He explains that his "team" back home, excluding Yukio as their teacher and supervisor, was usually six people and that their strength came from their individual talents. Once they - or rather once Konekomaru - realized the best way to use those talents together it became incredibly easy to take on missions that had been far more difficult before hand. He also noted that putting a strategist like Konekomaru at the helm of it all also meant that they had one person capable of seeing ahead and planning as needed, calling out shots and using everyone's strengths.
Of course this all said in a very Rin-like manner, but it... mostly gets the point across?

"Perhaps as time goes on, once we find people we match well with, we can ask Ichinose-dono to keep some group members the same. But until then, I look forward to when I can work with you and see your talent for myself."

SOMETHING IN THE FOREST
For this one, I’ll hold a mini sign up below in the comments! If your character can heal/do first aid/anything doctor like, and you’d be available to put priority on tagging this thread, please sign up! Sign ups close July 5th 6pm PST and I will be messaging the mods right after with the chosen group so that we can find out what happens! I’m just doing sign ups since I’m not sure how many healers there are or how much interest there will be, so I’d RNG if I got more than one! ICly, I’m thinking it will take place on July 6th, depending on what the mods say. This plotting thing was brought to me ahead of time which is the only reason so many slots are already filled and it’s such a short sign up, but I can do things like this more often, too, if anyone else spots something they want to investigate and wants to ask the force for help!

Character: Maya Amano
Healing ability: Maya's a Persona user who specializes in having a large amount of magical power (meaning her spells are more effective and she's able to cast the powerful ones more often), and her main Persona has powerful healing spells.

Character: Minato
Healing ability: Same as Maya, Minato's got Personas that specialize in support and healing!

SPARRING & TRAINING
You do not have to be part of the defense force to sign up for this. If you want, Guren can sign your character up without their permission, as long as that would be enough to force your character into working with the other! Maybe they’ll feel bad about letting the other down. Please sign up before July 10th 9pm PST! Normally I’d get those partners out that day, but I will be on vacation, so sorry if they’re delayed until the following weekend this time! But new sign ups will go up each defense force meeting meaning that you can sign up again next time, or leave yourself out, and I’ll try to keep things new and interesting each time! Finally, please only sign up if you intend to follow up with your partner. If your partner does not follow up with you within those two months, please contact me so I can notate it to avoid repeated cases of this.

DRUGS
Drug A. Psychic Resistance
- Taking two drugs at once will stack the abilities. It’s up to you if you want two hours of the benefit with six hours of recovery, or one hour of even stronger benefit, with six hours recovery.
- Taking one drug, letting it wear off, and taking another within the 24 hour period will make the second dosage take twice as long for recovery.
- Taking one of each (at max of two) will give you both benefits, but with a six hour recovery just like the first bullet point.
- Taking three drugs within 24 hours, whether mixing and matching or not, will cause your characters’ organs to rupture and kill them. Please don’t do this.
This drug will provide an hour of really great psychic resistance. Power through what might have otherwise caused your character to be completely taken over with mind control! However, after the hour is over and the drug wears off, you get a migraine so terrible that it’ll be difficult to even think. You may become less coordinated, ill from the pain, or sensitive to any light. This will last for three hours.
Drug B. Healing/Durability
This drug will make your body extra resilient for a good hour. Healing will be accelerated (realistically, based on your character’s current healing), and physical and direct attacks will do less damage in general for a whole hour! Afterwards, however, their body will become completely useless for three hours. This means it’ll be hard to even lift an arm or stand, let alone move around or fight.
Both Drug Notes
Guren will stress the dangers of these drugs repeatedly, and clearly explain the side effects and risks. He will not be passing these out like candy. To receive a pack of 3 of these drugs, you’ll have to come ask Guren, and he’ll decide if you can handle it responsibly. He’ll keep his hands on these himself and be on top of that, but if you’d like to have your character try to steal some for whatever reason, please message me privately to work something out!
If you want to speak to Guren and get some drugs, just write “Guren” in the subject line and I’ll reply. Otherwise, you can discuss with each other how to use these.

Do you think a drug like that would do me any good? [ In an emergency; Fushimi is a bit reckless on occasion, but compared to most of the people he's met, he's almost downright reserved about power. ]
I'm not as strong as you. [ Not to say that he's too weak for the side effects -- just that he isn't certain it would do any good on reasonably normal human healing and strength. Most of his power is magical, after all. ]

SPECIAL PROJECTS
Akechi and Kyrie he hasn’t heard from in regards to the town alarm, or an idea for it, so he’ll ask if they have any ideas or progress on that.
Bruce he’ll ask if he’s made a comprehensive list and how complete it is, and if it’s been updated for the recent disappearances. He’ll also ask if he still wants to do anything to prepare for possible newcomers.
Clark he’ll just check to see if he’s heard anything about a clinic, since he knew someone was working on it but hasn’t heard an update since. Also, he’ll thank him if he contributed any to how the town hall looks today!
That’s all from last time. Now, if you’d like any special assignments from Guren, I’m going to have sign ups because I realized I wasn’t sure who would or wouldn’t want to participate or put the time into this OOCly, so please feel free to ignore this prompt if you’re one of the above and didn’t care to do it! This time, if you want your character to have a special task, please fill out the below and paste it to the sign ups top level! I’ll do my best to come up with something for anyone who signs up, though keep in mind that they may not all be large projects and may vary in how much initiative you have to take oocly to complete them.

TEAM ASSIGNMENTS
Everyone has a responsibility to help those around them in the force. Guren stresses that they’re all family. It’s really lame but somehow inspirational. Anyway, get together with your teams, or with other leaders/members, figure things out and have fun! Maybe you want to assign certain members to patrol and others to town fixing and some to combat, maybe not, whatever you’d like!

With a smile, he taps his pen against his notebook once he's done.] Ochako-san's one of the team leads this time, huh...

[ And here's Maya, waving a hand over her head. ]
I'm Maya Amano, one of your friendly neighborhood leaders. There are a lot of you I'm not familiar with, so I'd like to have a quick little powwow to get to know you better and hear your thoughts!
