[She is never going to admit that she came to the realization that she her feelings for Kirishima were more than just friendship when she was trying to figure out why she didn't want him to know she had eaten small animals raw while she was a werewolf. Because she felt like if it were any of her other friends she'd have been whining and crying about how unfair it was and how gross.

But she hadn't wanted him to know at all and the only reason she could think of was--

She'd confirmed it with Shiho first. But then she needed a second opinion after that because she knows Shiho's very much biased.

So she went to the only authority she could think of. It was hard to say what made Caramia come to mind, was it that he seemed so put together? That he seemed like the sort of person who'd have experience with love? Or just that he reminded her of the director (and Fujiko-san always had answers for these dilemnas)?

Who knows.

Either way. She's at Ruga, knocking on his door. Was he even home? She hadn't even shot him a message to check...

If Caramia opens the door he'll see Kaoru without her usual smile instead she's blushing and muttering to herself as she tugs at the ends of the sleeves.]

[ No one's going to blame Kaoru for wanting to talk to her newly deemed big brother! Well, except for maybe Shiho and Kyrie, but those two are outliers and shouldn't be counted.

Still, Caramia does answer the door, looking much like he had just rolled out of bed (well, actually, his hair always resembled bedhead, so maybe he was up for a while? Hard to tell!). He goes to open his mouth with the usual smile, only to pause his greeting before he could even utter a sound. Well. This certainly isn't what he was expecting to see. ]

...Kaoru? Is everything alright?

[She startled when he spoke, like she hadn't even noticed the door open or that someone was there until she heard her name.]

Yes? [Sounded like the most uncertain thing.] I guess. I just...can I talk to you about something?

Of course. Anything. [ Caramia shuffles aside to coax Kaoru inside, shutting the door behind her. Aside from the gross spideer that slept in the corner, they at least had some privacy here. ]

Did something happen...?

[She's following after him and she's keeping her hands at her back because otherwise she'd probably be reaching out for some kind of reassuring touch.]

No. Nothing's really...I just. [Was it too late to run away? Caramia would probably forgive her if she broke the door or busted a hole in the wall to facilitate a quick escape, right???

But then, she really did need advice because otherwise she's going to end up avoiding Kirishima FOREVER and that was no good either.

She takes a deep breath.] H-hypothetically speaking...if someone thinks they might, you know, have...feelings for someone but they know they already have those sorts of feelings for someone else.

A-and these feelings are sort of...kind of...more than just friendship? [Just in case there was any doubt! At this point she's not even looking at him and it's not because she's nervous or anything! She was just...staring at some curtains. Because they were some pretty cute curtains!] What am I--I mean, this person supposed to do about that?

I mean, obviously! [She holds up her hands like she's warding off something.] I--this person isn't planning on becoming some kind of two-timing adulteress! Because that'd be terrible! But um...

[Yeah, she's got nothing else.

She looks like she's two seconds away from just running away from this conversation. And maybe hiding in Shiho's room for the rest of her life.]

[ Well, it's not really his house, so he'd certainly forgive her, if just to mention that she shouldn't do that again... For now, he patiently waited for Kaoru to tell him what's on her mind. Whatever it was, Caramia seemed pretty worried.

Ah.... Feelings. Matters of the heart! Wait!!!! Kaoru was here for love advice!!! Caramia's eyes widened a little, excitement glistening brightly in them as he reaches forward to take Kaoru's hands in his own. ]

You're in love!!!! [ He blurted out. Sorry he's such an embarrassing dad/bro, Kaoru. ] Oh, how exciting! I'm happy for you!!! Oh, I mean... "your friend". [ Caramia winked, and then giggled happily. ]

So... what's the issue? You've got two suitors? Why don't you just let them both know how you feel and tell them the situation? Communication is the most important thing in a healthy relationship, you know.

[Well, since he now has her hands in his she can't run away anymore. There's one option that's been taken away.

Her face now matches her hair, isn't that funny? If only her power was teleportation instead. Maybe she came to the wrong person with this...actually when she thinks about it, going to the person who reminded her of Fujiko may not have been the best plan to begin with...]

I'm not-- [IF YOU'RE GOING TO PRETEND TO PLAY ALONG WITH THE WHOLE 'YOUR FRIEND' THING AT LEAST DO IT FOR LONGER THAN A SECOND.] You can't really call them suitors if they don't even like me back...and I can't talk to them because one of them isn't even here!

[ Geez, let him be excited!! It's not often he gets someone coming to him for romance advice. Mostly because Caramia was a little Too Much, but that's besides the point???? ]

It's okay, signorina. You can be frank with me!! My lips are sealed! [ He gives a biiiig fanged grin. ]

That's not an issue! It would be if you were dating the one you can't contact already, but if not, then you just need to tell them your feelings- all of them- when you get the chance. Then, things are bound to work out! [ That's how it worked for lions anyway. ]

[She's a hypocrite because she'd be exactly the same if it were her in his position.

Why was he so sure everything would work out when all she could foresee was potential disaster???]

How can it not be an issue? It seems so... [She would make a vague hand gesture here but like, her hands are still being held so she just shrugs.] This isn't how love is supposed to be right? It's supposed to be one and forever and--if I go to him with such half-hearted feelings wouldn't I just hurt him in the end?

[She's looking down at the floor now and she's just...absolutely unsure about any of this. Life was so much easier before she figured this out, honestly.]

I don't...want that.

[ He blinks a few times in rapid succession, a brief look of shock on his face, and then he just laughs at Kaoru, like she's just told a fantastic joke. ]

W- What?? [ He manages to let out through bouts of laughter. ] Oh my Ozma? No, absolutely not! The world would be absolutely abysmal if that were the case. Do you think love is some kind of pie? [ He shakes his head. Monogamous people are wild. ]

Love doesn't divide, Kaoru. You should know this because of how you're feeling right now. When you developed feelings for the other, did you love the first any less?

Love grows. Love is a feeling, not a resource, it can only get stronger if that's what you want it to do. [ He clasps Kaoru's hands together and squeezes them in his own. ] If you truly love the two of them, you can tell them that, too. Because love like that is something that can flourish into something amazing, and for someone like you [ who reminds him so much of himself- ] who can have so much love to give, you not only have the ability to sweep them off the ground, but give them both all the infinite love you have in your heart.

[ Insert anime sparkles. ]

[She looks up when he laughs and if she were less embarrassed about all this she probably would have gotten made because WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING AT HER?

But she listens quietly and, well. He does have a point. About love not being a resource or a pie. That she still felt the same about Minamoto now as she did before. Though she was giving him a dubious look when he mentions being able to sweep them off the ground. Look, she knows her strengths and 'appeal to teenage boys' isn't one of them so she's pretty sure the only way she could sweep them off the ground was kicking their legs out from underneath them.]

...I guess you're right. Love isn't something that runs out, right?

[She starts to smile but then she looks down at their hands with a faint frown on her face again.]

...but is it love? Mi--the guy I liked back home. He was always telling me it was just a childish crush, that it was something I would grow out of. I was the only one who ever insisted it was more than that. What if this is proof that I was wrong?

[Even though she thought the fact that she hadn't grown out of it in six years is proof enough. But this made it more complicated.]

[ He may have gotten some of the details wrong, but he believes Kaoru could sweet a boy off his feet if she puts her mind to it!! ]

Exactly. [ He'll squeeze Kaoru's hands again, giving a very gentle smile at her. No frowning, Kaoru, love's supposed to be an elating topic...! ]

I can't answer that for you, but I think if it's something you still feel strongly about, then it's probably the real deal. Loving someone doesn't invalidate your feelings anyone else. Never think of it like that, okay?

[She thinks about it---but like, for a second because in the end, Kaoru's always been the sort of person to go with her instincts, in the end (a woman's intuition, is how Fujiko always put it). She does smile, then even though it's a lot softer than her usual bright ones.]

Okay...I'll try to remember that. [She felt a lot...calmer now. Shiho had said much the same thing but it was...reassuring to hear it from others too. Even if she wasn't entirely sure it's okay she was at least no longer freaking out. (She probably would again, later when she had time to think about it some more but for now she's fine...more or less.) But she was still nervous and it showed in her smile.] I'm...really in love with him. [Like she can't quite believe it just yet.]
