And then it breathes fire. ]
Oh my god!
[ See, that? That she did not expect. She takes a step back instinctively as the hell goose waddles her way, but Elizabeth is a bit more fool-hardishly brave than that. She runs to the side of the goose to avoid the flame, but unfortunately, there's more than one. All of the other geese are startled and start to run in various directions, honking away in a way that sounds weirdly like Greensleeves from hell, if only for a moment. But. At least one of them breathes fire Elizabeth's way, and it definitely singes her clothes and catches the edge of her skirt on fire.
Even so, she catches up to the one goose and essentially tries to bear hug it into submission. She's holding it by its neck to try and avoid some of the fire, but it's still not the safest way to wrangle fire-breathing geese. ]
Why do they breathe fire?!
[ She shouts, exasperatedly, in very much the tone of "why is your mother a ghost" ]

He's more concerned about Elizabeth, who instead of running away from the geese like a sane and sensible person, is definitely standing her ground and then wrangling the fire-breathing goose.
His estimation of her courage goes up a couple of notches, but on the other hand, he thinks she might also be a little insane.
Still, he follows, rushing to her side as quickly as possible to try to help her tackle the goose to the ground. Via full goose body tackle.]
Hold the head, I'll get the rest...!
[Away from both of them please so neither of them gets lit on fire even more.]

I've got it!
[ And she actually does, though there's definitely a sense that a dozen is going to be an Effort. She's holding the head tightly and just trying to direct its head very much away from the two of them while it musically honks fire. It's a valiant effort all around. Though that singed clothing is definitely getting uncomfortably warm, so she's trying to multitask by trying to roll that part into the dirt to smother it. She's at least not letting go, since letting go will definitely mean more fire. ]

A wheeze, when it finally flops to the ground, but clearly watching them with beady eyes that are waiting for them to let its guard down.
And, tentatively:]
Elizabeth-san, I don't know if we're going to be able to catch eleven more of these with just the two of us.
no subject
...I don't think I want to.
[ because FUCK this goose and all of the rest of them too ]
Um... But it's probably something if we at least take this one back, right?
no subject
[Maybe? It's something, at least. The goose makes a musical honk. Minato eyes it warily, frowning.]
How do you knock out a goose, I wonder...?
no subject
[ That's definitely a very polite way of telling a goose to go fuck itself, yes. She sighs and places her hands on her hips as she looks at it. ]
...I should have brought my Skyhook. I didn't even think about it, since there's nowhere to really use it here.
no subject
I don't know what a Skyhook is, but... I guess we just have to use what we can.
[Which is why he's reaching under his blazer for his Evoker which, while no longer used as a gun, was once an actual gun with all of the proper, hefty weight behind it.
He will then clonk the goose over the head with it, as carefully as he can.
(But also with enough force to hopefully knock it out for awhile, because neither of them wants to get singed.) And, dryly:]
... I feel like I'm experiencing so many new things every day.
no subject
[ Oh, but he knocks it out. That's much better, since she had been steeling herself for some gore, so she relaxes just a little as she laughs sarcastically. ]
Tell me about it. For being a town that's only full of people like us, it still manages to be lively...
no subject
Ah... some sort of weapon, maybe?
[Or something more than that?]
Sometimes I think it's because there are so few of us that it's so lively, though. We're kind of all up in each other's business, right? [They don't really have a choice about it.]
no subject
[ Anyways, this goose. Elizabeth crouches and picks it up, which does take both arms, but she has it. ]
That's probably true. And I guess this goose will make it more lively... Hopefully it's at least useful.
no subject
Got it. We'll worry about that later. For now--
... Do you need any help with it?
[Elizabeth is so tough...]
no subject
[ Since, well, hollow bones and all. She looks down at the goose enemy thoughtfully, but then starts to walk in the direction they had come from. ]
...We should probably hurry, though. I hope it doesn't wake up before we get there.
no subject
[AND THEN THEY GALLIVANTED BACK TO TOWN and probably gave the fire-breathing goose to someone who can cook it or something, let's be honest here.]
