[It's blockable by sword, for sure, but also Okuyasu is a cheater and he's lost enough fights and thought of cool moves hours later enough times to finally think of a cool move now, without anyone's help. Truly, this is character development.

Or: Okuyasu doesn't block but instead dodges to one side, summoning The Hand at the same time to swipe at the air and jerk Nanjo forward at least a little; whether he actually pops forward a few feet or just stumbles once, Okuyasu is going to take a swing at him from a completely different angle from the starting point. Yeah!!!]

In a world like this one, basic survival and being able to switch on the fly is something admirable, and for a brief, few, probably GLORIOUS seconds, he'd probably see the surprise in Kei's face as he was propelled by The Hand and used his blade to block the attack.

[It's a calculated barb - he knows a taunt like that will push the other forward to show him he CAN do better (or at least he hopes), and the Persona makes him immune to sword attacks. If the other is going to come at him dirty, Kei's going to fight using something that can't be harmed so the other can attack it as violently as he wants to his heart's content.]
