WHAT: Jim isn't used to having all this free time.
WARNINGS: Nothing probably.
i: Looking for worms
[Jim's life had become...really hectic since he found the Amulet of Daylight. So suddenly having all this free time is so strange.
So he finds things to occupy himself with. He knows he's no good at hunting...but he doesn't want to rely entirely on his roommates to get ingredients.
After some digging around in the store, he manages to find a fishing rod! Success! But now he needs to find bait.
Which is why he's digging in the dirt with a small, rusty hand shovel. Then he stops and groans.]
Still nothing... [He notices you watching and, far from being embarrassed, he just waves.] I don't suppose you know where I can find some worms?
ii: Training is important
[Just because Blinky isn't here, just beause he'll go back and nothing will have progressed doesn't mean he doesn't need to train.
In fact, Jim feels like this is the perfect time to get some training in! That way he'll have gotten extra training by the time he got back!
Though without the Hero's Forge (not that he's been able to train there for a while now) and no other places to train he's going to need to get...creative.
Which is why you may catch him trying to tie some hay and logs together to make a training dummy. it might look a bit like a naked scarecrow though.
When he thinks he's done. He's going to look at his rather lacklustre attempts and nod.]
Not bad, right?
[Yes, he's asking you. And as if on cue, the dummy leans over to one side before falling down. Or maybe its arms fall off. Either way...he has the grace to look embarrassed when it happens.]

No, not really. I think calling out your attack works for some people, but I kind of just... focus? But you can try that. However you can make a spoon bending incantation... work.
[ ritsu's not gonna lie to himself, a teeny part of him's gonna be mad if jim easily gets this after he went on some elaborate self-sabotage to just unlock it ]

[He doesn't even sound that judging. After all, he'd spent some time in a dungeon so like........you know. He gets it. Sometimes these things happen.
But he was still a bit curious about it.]
Focus, huh. [He stares at the spoon, and...thinks about bending the spoon. His brows are pinched as he stares at the spoon without blinking. Slowly (slowly) the spoon bent just a little.] ...that's a lot harder than you made it sound.

ritsu's face just very slightly turns into a grin when he sees jim have a hard time. ah, awakening lab flashbacks with level 1 espers. but come on ritsu, you're trying to be a helpful boy here, get it together. looking down at what's essentially himself having a hard time is bringing him back. ]
Right. I think this is a commonality with a lot of powers but... why don't you try some kind of emotional drive? I used negative emotions before starting out, but I have a better grip on it now even without them.
What makes you... angry? No need to share. Just think about it.
