[open] It's a (very belated) birthday log!
WHO: Kaoru, Shiho and friends
WHERE: Town hall
WHEN: Last week of February
WHAT: It's Shiho's birthday
WARNINGS: None probably.
I: Food!
[What is a party without food? Kaoru can't cook but she happens to know people who can! There's even a cake! She may have borrowed a table from another house for the purpose of keeping the food.
Though, oddly enough, there's also a small card (all of them different colour and sizes, some of them looked like they'd been gently folded then ripped along the fold) beside each dish with a number on it. There's also a list (all handwritten in pink), with the same numbers all listed on one side and lines beside it like something you should fill out.
On the top it says: Guess Who Made This Dish!
Are you here to play or are you just here to eat?]
II: Games!
[There is a hastily written sign on one side that says: NO DANCING.
But every party needs entertainment so beside there is a sign with game suggestions like: Truth or Dare, Never Have I Ever...or maybe you'd like to take your list from the food table and see if you got more correct than the person beside you!]

[Remembering his own childhood....would they count as friends? "Childhood subordinates" doesn't quite have the same ring to it. He'd like to think of them as...former friends, anyway, though they obviously don't care for him now...
Ahem.] I may not have known her nearly as long as you have, but I could definitely tell she's a good person at heart. [A pause.] Though I'm not sure how she'd feel about us praising her aloud like this, haha.

[Also, there's no one they can't bully...though nowadays they don't do that much anymore.
She grins.] But even the way she gets embarrassed by compliments is cute~.

You certainly like her a lot, don't you? That's good! I hope you can stay close like this for many years to come. [A pause, as he looks around for any sign of Shiho nearby.] Maybe you could get everyone at this party to compliment her. It's her birthday, after all!

She sighs.]
She'd know if I put them up to it...and then she'd get me back for it, so...let's not do that. [Because Shiho won't kill her but her revenge is nothing to take lightly!] Besides, I'm sure they're all complimenting her and thinking nice things about her even if I don't say anything!

She really is fortunate, to have so many who care for her.

[Because Shiho deserves every happiness in the world!
Looking out at the crowd though, she couldn't help but be happy for another reason though.]
I never really noticed back home...but I think this is the first time I've met Shiho's friends. It's usually the other way around. [Or they meet people at the same time but Kaoru befriends them first.
She wonders how she never really noticed that.]

[Maybe Shiho's shy? Maybe she's a little like Mu Qing and Feng Xin, rude but kind.
That's kind of an amusing thought, actually.]
I'm glad to be able to meet a friend of a friend, anyway. That's another benefit to parties like this! We can all get to know each other over snacks.
no subject
[Probably none of the three people involved in that comparison would like it...but it wasn't entirely wrong.]
It's true. Which is exactly why you shouldn't hang out on the edge of the party by yourself!
no subject
I'm fine here, really! The edge of the party is where the food is, after all!

I'll remember that~!
