[No matter how awful certain aspects of her world may be...it really wasn't that bad. Her life there wasn't that bad, especially once Minamoto found his way into it.

So she hadn't...considered that.

She thought, immediately, about Guren.]

And this place likes to force us to open our hearts to each other. [She stares at Pyra for a moment. Then, more gently.] Did you come from a world like that?

[ Pyra smiles softly, glancing at her before replying. ]

My world wasn't the most peaceful, but... Let's not talk about that. [ As much as she trusts and likes Kaoru, talking about her homeworld is a pretty touchy subject. Besides, why talk about sad things when at the baths?? ]

Rest assured, I'm happy here. [ A pause, and she seems to realize something. ] Quite happy here, actually. [ More happy here than her homeworld, for multiple reasons. One, she doesn't feel like she has all of her power here. Two, she is not connected to any of her artifices... or the god of her world, the Architect. And three....

There are a number of very important people here that aren't dead, like they are in her world. ] And you're one of the reasons I'm happy.

[And since she's said that, Kaoru won't push today. If Pyra ever needed or wanted to talk about it, she would. Kaoru definitely has her own share of secrets.

The warm water had brought a slight flush to her face which hides her slight blush at being told something like that.

Ah. No wonder Maribelle and Shiho kept telling her she was embarrassing...]

But she isn't embarrassed for long. She smiles with an absolute sort of delight like Pyra had just made her the happiest girl in town at the moment.]

You're one the reasons I'm happy here too! I'm glad I got to become friends with you!

[ Pyra, upon seeing Kaoru's smile, laughs happily as well. For such a bold girl, she has a good head on her shoulders, and she's more than just strong; she's kind, she's witty, she's charming. That is Kaoru, and Pyra can also say that she's glad to have her as a friend. ]

I have to say, I'm glad to have a friend in you. You're... definitely one of the more confident people I've met; you have it-- here, [ Pyra brings a hand to her chest, placing it over where her heart might lie. ] You have a good heart, one that is strong and... knows rights from wrongs.

What can I say? I was raised by an incredibly kind person. Someone who was never afraid to stand up for what was right even when he didn't have to. Even though I was a total brat to him and did everything to make him hate me...he never gave up on me.

[She loves Minamoto a lot, okay? And she's so grateful to him.]

I wouldn't be the person I am today if not for him.

Your... father? [ Is her best guess, as to who this person is. ]

No. Um. He was our live-in nanny, I guess? [More like supervisor...but she doesn't want to explain about Babel and being a special esper and all that right now.] We've been living with him since we were ten.

I haven't seen my dad since I was five.

[Somehow, she doesn't sound too bothered about that.]
