Who told you so, dilly dilly, Who told you so? ‘Twas my own heart, dilly dilly, That told me so.
ouch is one of the most intimate, romantic ways to be close to someone else. The Town knows this very well -- the Town wants everyone to be as close as possible.
Perhaps that's why this bonding is so...aggressive.
Because you're in for quite the shock on this otherwise peaceful day when you brush against the next person on your path.
Maybe you're going out of your way to touch people. Maybe you've got a terrible urge to just see what's lurking in someone's heart. Maybe you trip over a conveniently placed rock -- whatever the cause, you're getting an up close and personal look into someone else's heart.

Sounds like...you guys really attracted everyone to your cause.
[Though...was that really great? Battles meant people dead, didn't it? She tried not to think too much on it. It was Maribelle's world. The circumstances were her own. She wasn't really in a place to discuss it.]
Who's that?
[She pointed at one of the portraits hung lower down with the plain frames.]
[Karou winds up pointing at a gruff yet cheerful older man with scratched armor.]
That would be Gregor. He's a mercenary we sort of hired, you could say. He was trying to rescue a dragon-girl... but, ah. We, and her, accidentally thought he was kidnapping her.
[She laughs.] At least he didn't need to offer any proof. [Since the kidnappers were right there.] Why was he trying to save her? [Had he been paid to?]
... While his face may be brutish, his heart is pure. He saw that the dragon was going to be made a slave, and perhaps even used in dark rituals. Her life would have been hell on earth.
[She'd be interested to meet her! But also...] It's kind of sad though. That people who would do steal someone else's freedom like that exist where you are too.
That's true! [After all, the story Maribelle just told showed both, right?] No matter what world it is, there will always be the sort of people who'd stand up to evil and protect others!

[She's grinning though.
A protector mistaken for a kidnapper? A classic trope!]
The poor guy...did he get a chance to explain himself at some point?
