ouch is one of the most intimate, romantic ways to be close to someone else. The Town knows this very well -- the Town wants everyone to be as close as possible. Perhaps that's why this bonding is so...aggressive. Because you're in for quite the shock on this otherwise peaceful day when you brush against the next person on your path. Maybe you're going out of your way to touch people. Maybe you've got a terrible urge to just see what's lurking in someone's heart. Maybe you trip over a conveniently placed rock -- whatever the cause, you're getting an up close and personal look into someone else's heart. Welcome to Awash's eighteenth event log, everyone! [But she looks just a touch concerned for a moment.] You're sure you're all right?

[ Extending his arms, he twirls around, away from her.
It's just so he can look at her, the way she—with her flame-red hair and bright eyes—pops out against the grey background of Chroma.

He lets his arms fall and smiles at her, the corners of his eyes crinkling. It's a genuine expression. ]

I am.

[ A little pause. ]

Better than I've been... in a long time.

[queenofminiskirts]

[She watches him carefully but slowly, the pinch in her brow eases and she smiles at him warmly.]

I'm glad.

[The past couldn't be changed...but the future could always become better. She hopes the future could be better for him.

Then she made a show of stretching her arms before she clasps them at her back.]

I'm going to head home because I'm starving. [She tilts her head.] You can come too if you want. Rin's always happy to feed anyone who comes by.

[espritdecorpse]

[ He throws his arms around his middle, as if he were dying of hunger pangs. ]

Aaaaaaa, I’m starved! I’ll take you up on that!

I think we're close to wrapping up here.

[queenofminiskirts]

You're such a drama queen. [But despite her words she's still smiling as she holds out a hand to him.] Well, what are you waiting for? Let's go.

[ He reaches out, to take it. He'd never even held hands with a maiden before coming here, and now touch is something he's simultaneously taking for granted and exceptionally grateful for. Her hand is warm. She is warm, through and through. He smiles, genuinely.

And then starts walking briskly towards her house. ]

Me? You're the one dawdling!
