ouch is one of the most intimate, romantic ways to be close to someone else. The Town knows this very well -- the Town wants everyone to be as close as possible.
Perhaps that's why this bonding is so...aggressive.
Because you're in for quite the shock on this otherwise peaceful day when you brush against the next person on your path.
Maybe you're going out of your way to touch people. Maybe you've got a terrible urge to just see what's lurking in someone's heart. Maybe you trip over a conveniently placed rock -- whatever the cause, you're getting an up close and personal look into someone else's heart.

She draws away from the hug, looking up at him. ] I wish you could only keep the good memories of them in your heart...
[As she lets go of him he turns away, his lip trembling and his hands balled into fists.]

[His parents would have liked Pyra, he thinks. And getting to see that, to see them all together in his heart at least for a little while until the violence of the past caught up to him... Well, that's something.
[ She would be there for his mother, yes, but she wants to be ther e for him too.

[ She admits quietly, and here she'll reach out to take his hand that's balled into a fist at his side, and begin to lead him.
They can't just stand around; she'll find some place for them to sit. It's helpful that even in this chilly weather, the both of them are unaffected. ] I've two... brothers. [ Not really, but that's the best way she can put them in human terms. ] One, I haven't seen in a while.
The other... he's not the kindest person. But I wish he was. [ A pause. ] It... would have been nice to see the both of them at a table, like how your family and friends were in your heart.
It’s.... complicated. [ She almost wants to laugh at the thought.
A deeper part of her— the part of her that’s buried within memories of sons ago— knows that they had indeed been very close. To the point that they were acting as one entity.
It’s strange, how she seems to feel one thing but not quite remember it completely. ] A long time ago, we all were close.
That’s not the case anymore. One of them vanished. And the other...
He and I fight.
A lot. [ She realizes that she’s just making this sound as if it’s simply a sibling spat, when that’s not the case. Still, she’s not about to go on a tangent about the war. ]
I wish we were close, though. Then— who knows, we might have gotten along. But he probably would still be a stubborn ass. [ WHOOPS Mythra just slipped in there for a moment!! ]
[Akira's grip on Pyra's hand tightens, a brief gesture of comfort. It isn't easy to fight with loved ones, he knows. Yet she goes on, and that reassurance he had wanted to provide suddenly turns to surprise.]
--What did you just say? [He blinks, not sure he heard her right. Pyra is normally so sweet and never has a potty mouth, it threw him off guard.]
[ Should she actually say anything? Should she at all? She doesn't want to tell him everything... ]
He... was just a very destructive person, that's all. [ This isn't even her heart; it's not like she has to speak about this to him... but perhaps it's time to tell a little more of herself. ] And he... and he thought that I should be fighting alongside with him.
[ That's a very watered-down version of it all, but it is true. ]
...Something like that. It... he thought our father wanted us to fight. [ It'd be hard to "I don't remember much of the time that we weren't fighting because I wasn't myself", without actually getting into some very troubling territory for her, so instead: ]
Everything's okay here. But Ryo... He's a destructive person, too.
[He wants to think the best of Ryo, but thinking about returning home and how bad things have gotten... Even if his friend wants to fix his mistakes (does he, really?) it's too late to undo so much of the damage caused.
He shakes his head. He doesn't want to dwell on that now when he's more interested in learning about Pyra.]

...Which... in a way, it made me happy to see your parents, back in your heart. It was like seeing how a family should be.
