Who told you so, dilly dilly, Who told you so? ‘Twas my own heart, dilly dilly, That told me so.
ouch is one of the most intimate, romantic ways to be close to someone else. The Town knows this very well -- the Town wants everyone to be as close as possible.
Perhaps that's why this bonding is so...aggressive.
Because you're in for quite the shock on this otherwise peaceful day when you brush against the next person on your path.
Maybe you're going out of your way to touch people. Maybe you've got a terrible urge to just see what's lurking in someone's heart. Maybe you trip over a conveniently placed rock -- whatever the cause, you're getting an up close and personal look into someone else's heart.

[ Having touched and then been transported into others' hearts, she's rather sure that none of this is as much of an illusion as it at first seems to be. The danger here is real, visceral, and not to be underestimated. And while she's yet to see or hear someone who might perish within their own heart-- as poetic and tragic as that sounds-- she is not willing to simply wait around and see if it's possible.
Pyra is fast, but not miraculously fast, not-- not like she is. As as she watches that arrow fly her eyes widen in shock, and--
It is in that moment that they both wish to save him. But they can't-- she-- Mythra can't. If she appears, then whatever damage she does here might be so much worse if she loses control, she might harm too much of his heart, she might harm him as a result, she might... she might kill all of those here, she might kill him. No, she can't appear-- not here, not yet.
But as the arrow torrents through the air, she's left with little choice of what else she might do. She has to compromise, she has to do something--!
Pyra lunges at Wei Wuxian, pushing him-- pushing him in a way that he might look away. ]
