[It's not a problem at all. She doesn't find it strange.

And she gingerly even takes the orange, casually creating a peeling knife to begin skinning it properly.]

I appreciate it, really.

[She looks down at her hands, the fingers cutting by rote memory at this point.]

Can...I confide something to you, Ochako?

[Most impressive, Momo. Ochako watches her for a second, noting just how neatly she manages to peel the fruit. Everything about this girl is nice and tidy, isn't it?]

Hmm? [But that question pulls her out of her woolgathering, and she glances back up at her friend.] Of course! You can talk to me about anything, you know. I'm always happy to listen to my friends.

[Neat, tidy, and more importantly: efficient. The knife is a resource for later, too.]

Well. [Breathe in, breathe out...] I'm worried. Not about anything in particular, but about all of this as a whole. Especially for our class. Because this is so radically different from anything we've ever dealt with before.

[More than anything, she's concerned for the boys. Particularly Iida.]

I'm concerned that there'll be a point where our experience just gives out, and we won't know how to handle ourselves. All of us. Any of us. And I'm tired of keeping it in.

[That is a heavy burden to bear, and Ochako feels a pang of guilt as she frowns worriedly at her friend. Maybe she should have pressed Momo for more information earlier? Ah, well. What's done is done, and for now she pauses, carefully considering everything she's heard.]

It is a little scary, isn't it? The forest, the weird guy on the forum... we never know what's going to happen next, and it's okay to be worried about that. But, Yaomomo—

[Tilting her head a bit, she gives Momo a reassuring little smile.]

We're all here together! Even when we're not sure what to do, if we keep looking out for each other, and helping each other, then I know that we'll be just fine. Our class can handle anything. [Ochako extends a hand toward her friend, palm facing upward. C'mon, Momo, grab it!] So don't feel like you have to keep anything in. I'll always be here for you.

[Momo let her hand drop into Ochako's, fingers curling around it a little. It's still not enough to completely quell her mental exhaustion, but she feels lighter, having said something.]

It's not just...that. I just worry, because I know I can't be the only person thinking it.

[Not everyone is as optimistic as Ochako, for sure.]

I'm concerned at our stress levels, because we're all on fairly high alert all the time. At least, I am. I can't imagine it's any different for rest of you. I know I shouldn't but I keep letting my mind wander, and I'm just...worried.]

[Oh, Momo. Ochako has her closest friends here to talk to, and she's also made so many new friends to share things with, but Momo has been working so hard.]

I'm glad that you're telling me all of this. Do you know what I think, though? [She gives her hand a light squeeze.] You've been giving it your all, and you've been doing great things, but you should try to relax sometimes. Everyone is worried, I bet, but even Todoroki has been having some fun! We went fishing the other day.

[It was an honest-to-God adventure, but the thought makes her smile as she squeezes Momo's hand once again. This magic ability of hers—which she's not even sure works, by the way—should definitely be kicking in sometime soon. Feel better, Momo... think about happy things and feel lighter...]

Maybe you and I can go fishing, too! The net you made makes everything easy.

[It's a little different for Momo, since her closest friend is Kyouka, but she likes the rest of her classmates too. She's just the class rep, and that's just how she is. She tries to support everyone, which generally means that she's not as able to build herself up.]

Easier said than done, you know. My personality is a little more serious than most. But...thank you.

[She'll accept the offer, too, squeezing back and chuckling wryly.]

I've never tried fishing, you know. I think I'd like that.

[She does feel even more light, too, and she looks down at their hands.]

Are you trying to make me float?

[Ochako lets out a nervous little laugh, finally releasing Momo's hand.]

No way! I was just, um— ["—trying to make you feel better thanks to this magical touch a ghost gave me?" Yeah, that doesn't sound suspicious at all? She shifts her gaze to the side as she thinks.] I was trying to... lift your spirits?

[Hardy-har-har. There's a very cheesy grin in place as she looks back at Momo.]

A-Anyway, I think you'll really like fishing! We can go tomorrow, if you're free? And we can talk about everything that happened in the forest.

[Well, that does earn a laugh from Momo. She grins and bites back a laugh]

I...hah...suppose that you are.

[Nodding to herself...]

We can do tomorrow, yes. I'm not doing anything important.

[A laugh. Is that thanks to the hand-holding? Ochako isn't sure, but she is, without a doubt, thrilled to hear it, and so her cheesy grin quickly turns into a bright beam.]

Great! I don't think either of us wants to wake up too early, but we'll be out of here before noon. And you can always knock on my door if you're up before I am!

[Which she... probably will be, let's be real.]

That sounds good.

[Whatever Ochako's done has helped, in more ways than one. Really just having someone listen to her has helped Momo out as much as the magic. She's...always struggled with opening up about her problems.]

Let's say nine, to be safe. I'll have an alarm set.

[It's almost a shame to leave this comfy bed, but up Ochako goes! It's time to hit the hay and get ready for their fishing adventure.]

I'll listen extra carefully for it. Good night, Yaomomo! And— [She hesitates for a moment by the side of the bed, giving her friend one last smile.] Thank you again for talking to me. I'm glad that we're becoming closer friends!
