I went to the wood and got it; I sat me down to look for it And brought it home because I couldn’t find it.

he magical vines creep ever onward, slowly infringing upon the Town. No matter how many are chopped down, no matter how many are set on fire, they keep coming even so. And slowly, one by one, the people in the Town start to fall to the curse that they bring along with them. Stay and tend to the cursed? Venture out into the woods to find the castle at the source of these vines? Whatever you choose to do, you'd better decide quickly; the curse only seems to get worse and worse the longer everyone is afflicted. Welcome to Awash's seventeenth event log, everyone! [ That is a rather chagrined look Kisa is giving her-- either because she doesn't think she even has the energy to untuck herself and bolt, or because running off just has a guilty connotation for her now.

But she nods, sinking down until the blankets reach her chin. ]

I-I promise.

[ sierra will take that, and just as she said, she takes a moment to retrieve kisa some water, and a bandage for her hand. now is the point at which sierra reveals that she has no idea how to bandage someone up, but… listen, she has an image.

she sets the water next to kisa’s bed. ]

Give me your hand.

[ Obediently, she'll hold her hand out, eyes fixed on Sierra's face trustingly. Wow, she's so graceful and elegant, she can't wait to see how gracefully she bandages! ]

[regrede]

[ sierra is only hesitating because she’s thinking so hard about the expert bandaging job she’s going to do, and not because she’s feeling the heat from kisa’s trusting gaze.

slowly, she begins to wrap up kisa’s hand, as if doing it at this pace is going to buy her some time. ]

[ It's okay, Sierra, she wouldn't judge you. Even if you somehow wound up wrapping her the rest of her in bandages beyond her hand. ]

... I'm sorry... for making you do this.

[regrede]

No, it’s not your fault.

[ sierra ends up wrapping the entirety of kisa’s hand, because of course she does, fingers and all, and then she realizes that she doesn’t know how to tie off the bandage. she has the common sense not to just put it up in a bow, but… ]

[ she tucks the bandage into itself, and pretends this is exactly what she wanted to do all along. it’s like kisa has a pillow taped to her hand. ]

[ Well.

Okay.

Kisa's peering at her hand, now a bit more like an oven mitt. ]

T-thank you.

[regrede]

[ …the silence makes her nervous, and when kisa does manage a thank you, sierra isn’t sure that it’s with all the gratitude that it should have. ]

It doesn’t hurt, does it?

No... not at all.

[ Well, her knuckles ache a little, but the bandages have not caused additional pain. ]

I'm sorry for using so many bandages, though.

[regrede]

No, no… you didn’t.

[ she winces. ]
