setting his feet, tweaking his elbows and wrists.
"There. Continue to hold that stance. See how it feels. Take it in. It is
the fundamental stance from which to defend and attack. I wish to see how
long you can hold this for."

back up his spear and takes the similar stance meant for polearms. His
form, of course, is solid and unmoving.
