Salt and seasonings is a problem. Do you suppose that frying it on some sort of skillet wouldn't have something of the same effect? It may not be as effective as a deep fryer, but it seems like something of the same concept.

Dunno, but you can handle the whole skillet part. I can do, like, boiling something-- and that's all the cooking I got on deck.
