He calls out towards the two in the doorway, relieved when Lupin comes into his line of sight.]
Ah, this is the correct home. Good day to you- all.
[Coming to the threshold and seeing everyone has arrived he takes a moment to bow towards the lady and the gentleman.]
I am called Tonbokiri, one of the Three Great Spears of Japan. It is a pleasure to meet you in person. And to see you again, Lupin-dono. [He turns towards the man, smiling a bit hopefully - he'd been practising how to pronounce the French name, so it sounds significantly better than at their initial meeting, although still accented.]

Welcome, welcome! I feel a bit shabby having all of you over and not having anything to offer you. We could use some tea around here. Unfortunately, all I can offer you is a place to sit.
[ on wobbly chairs. but it's better than the floor?! ]

It's nice to meet you in person as well.
[ She will take one of the chairs, resting one hand on the back and noticing that it's center of gravity is definitely...questionable. ]
Not all. We're all very well aware of the circumstances, so this is more than adequate to what we've set here to do. I take it we've all spent some time brainstorming on our own?
[ Why does she sound expectant? Because she is. ]

It is nice to meet you as well, Mister Tonbokiri.
[Honestly with the people that had gathered, he had to wonder somewhat amusingly what type of story they would be able to weave - and how much of their own experiences would make their way into it. He sat down on a chair, after making sure it wouldn't cause him to fall the instant he sat on it, and rested his weight in a weird angle to make the three stronger feet bare most of it.]
I have for my part, yes.

Eagerly he looks at the others and plunges right in-]
If I may, perhaps we should start with deciding the main character. I believe they should be a strong leader! Powerful and fearless in battle. Unafraid of change and revolution. A hero of the time.
I would put forward someone like Napoleon Bonaparte as an example. His biography is quite fascinating.
[He pauses there to look at Lupin, seeking his reaction. As a French man, surely he would agree.]

[ unsurprisingly. ]

[ Mitsuru crosses her arms as she sits. She has her own particular interest in French history and the Revolution in particular. ]
We could combine the two--a champion of the people who, in his or her-- [ Or her. ] --legacy, deeds are finally recognized by the masses and elected to a position where they can use their power for good.

Perhaps someone who rose up to the occasion when others would have fled. An underdog, but still strong and powerful as they overcome obstacles laid out before them. Hero to some, yet a villain to those who work against them, or perhaps due to their methods of engagement.
[Maybe that doesn't sound too bad.]

His eyebrows raise in interest at Nanjo's suggestion.]
It would be an impressive impact if hero was so formidable against those obstacles that even his-- [a quick glance at Kirijo--] or her enemies, at least one, could not help but respect them for it. Then, of course, the villain will have to be incredibly formidable as well!
[Actually, now it's sounding more like Honda Tadakatsu's biography. But perhaps that's a natural outcome when it comes to Tonbokiri.]

Oh! A female hero! I like that.
[ Lupin takes that character suggestion to heart and begins to pen down their ideas in the empty pages of the book, his writing an elegant English cursive befitting the time period he hails from. ]
Maybe she's leading a rebellion against an oppressive regime, then? A wicked prince or king? The people have been suffering under a cruel rule, starving and penniless...
no subject
Yes.
[ She's quite the fan of fighting against the unjust forces for the sake of humanity. ]
The basic rights of citizens strike to the core of our compassion. Anyone pitted against them would definitely be accepted as a hero of the people.

[He looks at Lupin's writing, impressed. Cursive handwriting. Not even people in England seem to use that anymore...computers are much faster, after all.]
The human mind is easily swayed, after all.

He tilts his head, disoriented by the experience for a moment, but then returns his focus to the conversation.
Only to tilt his head in the other direction. He lifts one hand to rub at the back of his head for a moment, which causes his chair to creak, so he lowers his hand again slowly.]
That sounds like the makings of a complex and epic tale.
I wonder how much is needed to fulfill the requirement of the quest?
HM want to timeskip when it gets to my turn again to when they've finished something?
Well, maybe that's just it... Perhaps she's fighting back in an unconventional way. Spreading the truth in a sea of propaganda and the like? Maybe she's a writer, herself - or a newswoman, or something like that.
[ as for the length - he glances over at Tonbokiri. ]
Well, I'm no author. I'm not making this thing any longer than a fairy tale... That should be good enough. Probably.
[ maybe. ]
