Maybe the town had very American traditions before... you know. [All the depressing things happened.]

How about that one? [Izuku points at a tree just ahead of them.] Big enough to decorate, but not too big that it won't fit inside.

It's possible. That makes me wonder even more about Mr. F and stuff though. [Once he spots the tree though he nods enthusiastically.] Yeah, that's perfect! We can definitely carry that one back on our own, too.

[Hmm...] I can probably cut it with Riptide. Unless you think you can just tear it out of the ground.

Let's...go with Riptide. [He has no doubt that he can rip the tree out from its roots, but that all sounds...really messy.]

I can help keep the tree steady while you cut it down.

[A grin.] Cool. Hold the top, the trunk should be thin enough to knock out.

[He'll pull Riptide out of his pocket though and brandish the sword before he starts going at it, trying to cut the tree down.]

[Izuku does as he's told, bracing himself in the ground as he holds onto the tree, waiting for Riptide to make impact with the trunk.]

[THWACK! Riptide hits the tree trunk once, twice, and three times before the tree tips over toward Izuku so they can pull and break away the tree.]

That should do it. You think that's good? [He's already grabbing the bottom end of the tree though to carry it.]

[The tree's easy enough for Izuku to keep a hold of as it falls, though Izuku gets a faceful of pine needles for his efforts.]

Pbbt! [He spits some out, giving Percy a sheepish little smile once he's done.] Okay, we have our tree! Let's carry this back and find some decorations.

[expulsions]

[Sorry Izuku. He's still grinning and laughing to himself as he grabs the trunk. Izuku gets the pines. They match his hair.]

What kind of decorations do you think would work? Our options aren't exactly huge in this place.
