t's very, very cold. It's cold enough that you'll see your breath fog in the air before you, that goosebumps appear on your arms and legs and a chill goes up your spine. You're inside, in a huge palace with sweeping arches and rooms, but it's no real shelter from the cold -- it's just as cold inside as out.
There's a throne room, a kitchen, various rooms and even a dungeon to be explored -- and outside, a frigid, frozen garden, a lake that's naturally frozen over, and miles, and miles of snow as far as the eye can see.
But be careful while you explore. The snowflake soldiers are naturally dangerous, but even more dangerous than that...there's that creeping sensation of numbness going up your arm, a pang through your chest, and the slow, slow freezing from the inside out.
Try not to leave any of your friends behind, okay? Even if they might look a bit too uncannily like some of the statues hanging around for decoration when they're frozen over.

Who's troubling anybody? Since when is being helpful a burden? Who's volunteering so eagerly for dangerous things? Don't just follow someone blindly... unless that someone is me, you understand!
[ Excuse you, Wei Wuxian is Super Amazing... in his own head, anyway. ]

I wouldn't just follow anyone blindly ... [ Jion pouts slightly. ] It's just that you usually seem a little strange, but you seemed like you really knew what you were talking about, so. I figured you're actually pretty experienced with stuff like that.
[ It's technically praise, despite that low-key insult, okay. ]

[ Although he wrote extensively about his methods, and numerous cultivators attempted to emulate them, he never took any formal disciples. The ones who turned up at Yiling were just too weird. ]
The first thing we should do is find out where these snowflake knights are originating from. They're clearly being controlled. I'd like to know who's doing it.

[ He's not really sure exactly what being a disciple entails, but he'll figure that out as they go along. For now, he's more interested in talk about the snow knights. ]
Oh ... you think they're being controlled? [ Pause. ] I guess that makes sense, since they're just made of snow. It's not like they can have brains or anything, so. ... do you think if we just followed them around, they'd eventually go back to their controller? Or, um, do you have a method in mind?

[ He claps Jion encouragingly on the shoulder. ]
Hmm, as for a method... [ He thinks for a moment and then shrugs, flapping his sleeves. ] ....if I had a Compass of Evil, that would be helpful. But I don't! No magic tools at all, apart from my flute. So I think your idea makes the most sense: follow them around. Good thinking!
[ And just as he says this, the sound of rhythmic, clanking footsteps draws nearer. ]

[ He absently echoes the word, and is about to ask if Wuxian's flute is a magical item? Really? But the sound of clanking footsteps catches his attention.
Jion is promptly on guard, nervously turning towards the direction the sounds are coming from. Then he grabs Wuxian's wrist, tugging him along as he backs up down the corridor towards an alcove. They're too out in the open at the moment, and they'll have to hide first before attempting to tail the knight, probably. ]
Um, to be honest. [ Quietly: ] I'm not good at being sneaky. Since I'm bigger and all ... but I'll try my best.
