Event Fourteen.

Roses bloom and cease to be,
But we shall the Christ-child see.

t's very, very cold. It's cold enough that you'll see your breath fog in the air before you, that goosebumps appear on your arms and legs and a chill goes up your spine. You're inside, in a huge palace with sweeping arches and rooms, but it's no real shelter from the cold -- it's just as cold inside as out.

There's a throne room, a kitchen, various rooms and even a dungeon to be explored -- and outside, a frigid, frozen garden, a lake that's naturally frozen over, and miles, and miles of snow as far as the eye can see.

But be careful while you explore. The snowflake soldiers are naturally dangerous, but even more dangerous than that...there's that creeping sensation of numbness going up your arm, a pang through your chest, and the slow, slow freezing from the inside out.

Try not to leave any of your friends behind, okay? Even if they might look a bit too uncannily like some of the statues hanging around for decoration when they're frozen over.

Two more gunshots, and two small sounds of the bullets not finding their mark. It would not be impossible, but would take an incredibly accurate shot, he thinks.

Tonbokiri's eyes slip over to Sakamoto-dono for an instant when the second soldier breaks away from him and heads towards the man, followed by one more soldier. That will not be a problem for him, no matter which sword he uses.

Tonbokiri then puts his full focus on the three enemies before him, swift parries turning into powerful slashes to turn the solders into piles of snow. It is rather intense, taking limb and head, but thankfully they are not flesh and blood.

A fact that he is doubly thankful for when he turns his attention back to Sakamoto-dono.
Tonbokiri knows that it is important to Mutsunokami that he's never drawn blood. If these soldiers had been human, he would not have suggested what he did of Sakamoto.
But they are but snow, and now that world's Mutsunokami blade got to have an experience he would have otherwise never had.

Ah- well. Perhaps he's thinking too hard. It is not like they can be certain that there is another Aruji and another Honmaru in Sakamoto's world.

But still.

One pile of snow is already at Sakamoto's feet, so Tonbokiri stays back, watching. And also listening for more soldiers. Vigilance must be maintained.
