t's very, very cold. It's cold enough that you'll see your breath fog in the air before you, that goosebumps appear on your arms and legs and a chill goes up your spine. You're inside, in a huge palace with sweeping arches and rooms, but it's no real shelter from the cold -- it's just as cold inside as out.
There's a throne room, a kitchen, various rooms and even a dungeon to be explored -- and outside, a frigid, frozen garden, a lake that's naturally frozen over, and miles, and miles of snow as far as the eye can see.
But be careful while you explore. The snowflake soldiers are naturally dangerous, but even more dangerous than that...there's that creeping sensation of numbness going up your arm, a pang through your chest, and the slow, slow freezing from the inside out.
Try not to leave any of your friends behind, okay? Even if they might look a bit too uncannily like some of the statues hanging around for decoration when they're frozen over.

artistic part one!
[But there's no real bite in her words. It's.... a little weird but also kind of impressive that anyone would sacrifice the well-being of their hands to build all this.]
Or maybe brilliant as in "I'm losing all feeling in my hands just looking at them"?
no subject
I have no qualms about suffering for my art! An artist pursues beauty, and if my own form is beauty incarnate, who am I to refuse the call?
[ So...yeah. Pretty self-centered. Still, despite her protest of suffering for her art, she breathes some hot air onto her hands. ]

[Shiho even peers at Nero's hands as she says this.]

The cold is what bothers me far more, but that is taken care of.
[ She gestures with a (cold) hand toward the large crimson blade stabbed in the ground, not quite...nearby due to having to keep it from melting her artwork, but near enough. Minor magecraft is a useful thing. ]
no subject
....Huh. A sword.
[Which doesn't look like it should be able to keep her warm.]
Or is it some kind of sword-shaped heater?
no subject
It is a sword, and a fine one, at that! With a bit of magecraft...
[ She does seemingly nothing as the crimson sword, almost as big as she is, surrounds itself with some flames. ]
...it serves as a conduit for flames! A bold finishing touch for an already brilliant display.
[ And so she can basically continue uninterrupted!! ...Until she runs out of energy and needs to take a break. ]
no subject
[Shiho gives the flames a look because they really do look very warm and it seems at least a bit portable.]
Isn't that a bit overused? Or are you going to say this is a classic or something?
no subject
It is a classic! The warmth and brilliance of flames stands out even moreso in the quiet, freezing cold!
[ She takes a few steps nearer to that, however, because her hands really are getting cold. So. She could use said warmth right now. ]
no subject
You know, a warm fire in a cozy room is also kind of a classic theme too.
no subject
[ She knows that!! They...don't exactly have the cozy room part here down, though. Unless they want to melt the ice rooms.
Which Nero's totally okay with, by the way. ]

We can always build snow forts outside and try to stay warm in those.
no subject
That is a good idea. At least the ground isn't made of ice. But, do you think those knights will continue to pursue us even if we leave the castle?
[ Hmhmhm!! ]

no subject
[ Or well, it's a possibility. Who knows how snow...knights work. ]
Still, they attacked us on sight! How tremendously brazen of them! Are they that aggravated by trespassers? We did not even arrive of our own volition.
no subject
And I guess we're kind of trespassing. It's not like they've stopped for a second so we could actually explain that we're not in their gross castle because we want to be.
no subject
I don't think they're even capable of understanding or communicating with us, are they?
[ Now that she thinks about it, she hasn't heard an actual peep out of them. ]
no subject
I haven’t tried but there must be some way to communicate, right? Or are they more like wild animals? Don’t wild animals make terrible guards?
