Event Thirteen.

The cracks of paint and varnish on the brow; Soon to distrust all impulses of flesh That strews its sawdust on the chamber floor, While at the window peer two crones Who once were Juliet and Jessica. | |
Welcome to Awash's thirteenth event log, everyone! Further information on this event can be found here at the OOC post. Please keep in mind that while this is a general event log, it is also an intro log; be sure to pay plenty of attention to our newcomers! |

You're the first summon I've met here. We don't have anything like that where I'm from. Not really, anyway. [But it's something he relates to and that's enough.] Can anyone become a mage or whatever and summon you guys to do whatever they want?

[ Yeah. Lineage-based stuff. Fun, right? Well, not always. In the Moon Cell, it was by pure chance, and depended on which Heroic Spirit overheard a wish that wanted to be answered. But that...is a whole 'nother story, quite literally. ]
But to me, that matters not. Even if my Master was mediocre in appearance and natural ability, as long as they were beautiful, I would fight on their behalf with my head held up high.
[ Even if a frog were her Master, as long as she can fight without shame, it would be a source of pride for her. ]

Even if a Master was mediocre and maybe didn't fit the part, they could be worthy of a servant so long as they had other qualifiers.]
I see. [What else can you say to that? It's fascinating and weird and something he's going to be thinking about for a while.] I've gotta ask...is your master here, too? Or is it just you?

I am not the only Servant. Archer [ who actually uses a bow, which is saying something considering what other Archers use ] is here as well, but our Master is nowhere to be seen. ...I sense that the town is the entity supplying us with mana, so our contract may technically be broken, but I care not for that. My loyalty lies with our Master regardless.
[ Because she likes Ritsuka, much more than some colorless buildings and objects, even if the latter is what is supplying her energy.
But theoretically. Theoretically. They could make contracts with anyone here and declare them their Master. If they really needed the mana. ]

Don't think I've met Archer. [That's an affirmative, actually, since none of this sounds familiar.] Sometimes people show up at different times. I've been here for a really long time, but a--[Ah. He fumbles a little because man. What do you call someone like Nico di Angelo, a boy he's had complicated history with?]--friend from home came out of the well just a few months ago. Your Master might not be far behind if there're a couple of Servants here waiting.
Until then, you're right. The Town doesn't seem to block most of our powers so that helps.

She's heartened to hear that maybe other Servants or even their Master will come, to fix this Singularity like they have for all the others, but only time will tell. Well, she's not a stranger to waiting in ennui anyway. Nero perks right back up from her crestfallen expression just moments before. ]
It does. Without a proper Master around, my abilities may...not be at their fullest glory, but it will do, for now. And I shall dedicate them to the well-being of the citizens here! You should feel honored.
no subject
Believe me, I am. Most of us will be. [There's another brief pause.] But don't hesitate to let the rest of us use our abilities to help you out, too. If you need it.

[ She is not used to having to rely on others so; she is prideful and arrogant, and to show vulnerability is not befitting of an emperor. But she will not turn away help when it is needed, either, and she will not reject gestures made in good faith. And she is not unused to working with others for the sake of a common goal. ]
Well, I will allow it. I accept comrades, not pity.
no subject
Absolutely no pity here. I'm always looking for allies. That's all. [At least they can come to that agreement. Perhaps that's enough.]
