Event Thirteen.

The cracks of paint and varnish on the brow; Soon to distrust all impulses of flesh That strews its sawdust on the chamber floor, While at the window peer two crones Who once were Juliet and Jessica. | |
Welcome to Awash's thirteenth event log, everyone! Further information on this event can be found here at the OOC post. Please keep in mind that while this is a general event log, it is also an intro log; be sure to pay plenty of attention to our newcomers! |

Oh, I see...[He flings more of the blankets over his shoulders as he talks, slowly becoming Yu of the mostly colorless covers.] It's too bad we can't complete the blanket quest together then. Maybe we'd both get something we want from home.
[Or you ends up with one of the many outfits he wore. nbd.]
I noticed one of the quests said to remove color...that doesn't sound like a good quest. The food I ate earlier that was grey didn't taste anything at all.

[ There is one quest they can do, but Akechi isn't about to go risk his neck in the woods with someone he's just barely met. What if he's completely useless? ]
It is true that colorless food won't taste much better than ash, but that quest isn't quite news to us. Usually what happens when someone loses their color is that they'll lose their emotions for some time.
[ Casually talking about this like it hadn't happened to him, yup. ]

[Yu would understand Akechi's hesitation in going somewhere with a perfect stranger. Probably. It's Yu, after all. He frowns when he hears what happens to those without color...]
Ahh...that's terrible.
[Yu already looks like he lost half of them with his grey hair and eyes.]
I don't think I could do that to anyone, then.
[Mentally, he's going to cross out that quest.]

So instead, he's going to focus on Yu's questions: ]
Don't worry about it. I'm happy to provide as many answers as I can, but unfortunately there's not much I can tell you with certainty about that. All we know is that these quests are posted by someone who's only known by a hexadecimal code, like the rest of us. Since it's #FFFFFF, some of us have taken to calling them "Mr. White."
[ And of course, Akechi has his own theories about that, but the guy is probably looking for solid information right now. ]

So #FFFFFF is white in hexadecimal...[Yu hasn't really done many pages apart from his MySpace and Lifejournal. They mostly talk about the cats he's seen and his friends.]
Do they seem friendly?
no subject
It is. Our own hexadecimal codes stand for a variation of the colors we've been assigned. Mine is #900014. As for Mr. White, they don't seem to interact with us at all, save for posting these quests. Normally, we don't even catch a single glimpse of whoever brings our rewards; they'll either show up on you or somewhere in your house, like a magic trick.
[ And considering the whole fairytale theme of this place, calling it magic might be a pretty accurate bet. ]
