t's a regular morning here in the Town. The sun isn't shining at all, snow is falling like crazy, and...there may be the sounds of shouts coming from the well, thoroughly muffled. Okay, so it's not a regular morning at all, but you'd better go help those people! The newcomers are here again. Of course, once you get to the well, you'll notice that there's actually no real help you can offer -- it's totally frozen over. As for the newcomers, well... hopefully being suddenly dumped into freezing cold water in the middle of November in a dark, damp well is your idea of a good time, because that's your life now! And that's not even taking into account the mirrors in everyone's homes that are about to wake up and start chattering... Welcome to Awash's thirteenth event log, everyone! [ This is definitely a much politer way for a stranger to come into the house than some past experiences, and Phos finds themselves returning the wave with a smile. ]

It's nice to meet you, too. Were you looking for something?

[He returns the wave with one of his own.]

No, I'm new, I was just [SNOOPING AROUND checking to see who lives here.

[He's doing the whole protag thing about introducing himself to everyone.]

Ooh, a newbie? [ finally they aren't the newbie anymore.. exciting!! ] In that case, welcome to Chroma! Also, I think it's kind of cold outside, so you can come in if you want.

[ protagonist code is that you gotta know everybody, Phos understands. ]

I live here along with three others; two gems like me, and one human. They're a little slow to warm up to new people, but I promise they're nice! So don't hesitate to knock on our door if you need something.

That's right. [He gives him another smile as he enters the house and looks around to see if there is a place for him to sit that won't be invasive.]

Oh. Forgive me, I've never heard of gems before. So you're not human?

[He doesn't seem all that disturbed, considering he's friends with shadows and androids.]

[ Come right on in, their house is filled with piles of blankets and lanterns. Super cozy! ]

Where I'm from, humans are mythical animals of the past. I guess you could say they're our ancestors..? [ a thoughtful pause, followed by a slightly less thoughtful shrug. ] Well, a slug told me that. It sounds more like we just evolved without all the weaknesses humans have, though.

[izanyagi]

[It does indeed look incredibly snazzy and Yu seems pretty impressed.]

Hmmm...[Maybe this will be their future some day, but he does seem pretty pensive at that as he closes his eyes.] Well, we certainly aren't perfect...what do you consider weaknesses in humans?

[He's genuinely curious.]
