[Ugh. She still feels pretty awful but she does her best to be as enthusiastic as she wants to feel. Because, really. Cookies are amazing.]

They look great! I didn't know you could bake!

I learned how recently.

[So saying, he will scoop some of the cookies up carefully (they're still hot) and put them on a plate, before presenting them to her.]

Let them cool down a little.

[She was reaching out for that plate of cookies...and naturally, instead of holding it in her hand she levitates it over.]

I can't wait! Don't you know I'm-- [--impatient. But she stops because maybe he hadn't noticed when the symptoms went away but she's spent a couple of days worrying about a potential sickness affecting her powers and even when no fever ever came she had been waiting for it to come all the same.

So yeah. She noticed when suddenly everything was fine again. Huh.] ...that's weird.

[Akira is all geared up to tease her about her impatience, but then she stops, turning contemplative. He tilts his head, then looks at the cookies critically.]

Something wrong with them?

[He didn't do something weird to the recipe while he was sick, did he...?]

No. They're fine...

[She sounds so bewildered.]

But I don't feel sick anymore? Which is amazing but... [That's not how sicknesses work!?]

...Now that you mention it...

[Akira looks down at himself as though confused, then back at Kaoru.]

I don’t feel sick anymore, either.

Do you think it's related?

I don't know. But it's definitely too fishy to write off.

[She's still plucking a cookie off the pile.]

At least these aren't suspicious!

[He's still not totally confident in his baking skills, especially since he has to do it such an old school way here. But he did his best!]

[She takes a bite.

No one's cooking is as good as Minamoto's, but Kaoru could never not appreciate hand made food. And the fact that it had been made for her was even better.]

These are great!

[He smiles even bigger at that.]

I'm glad you like them. [He'll have to remember this recipe for later, if it's getting such good reviews.]
