WHAT: Attempting to map out the area and finding much more than they bargained for.

[Despite the situation, it seems they are all in agreement then. The air around them begins to glow bluish as Nanjo utters a single word.]

[A creature materializes behind him, over twice his height and floating over him gently.]

In case we run into trouble. It can help with magical fighting spells and healing magic. Let is push forward...as a team.

[He's a little surprised at Mysterion's words, but smiles in agreement at them. Kids can be insightful at times, something he's always believed.]

[The bluish light is unexpected and draws his attention again from the map--but the sudden appearance of a monster over Nanjo is even more surprising, making him jump and almost drop the map. He relaxes a little at the explanation and when the creature doesn't do anything but sit there for a time.]

O-Oh, I see. Um, this might be a dumb question, but...what is that? Are you controlling it? [It looks like a hellion to him, so he's concerned.]

[Nevertheless they continue onward, pushing and cutting their way through the thick underbrush. No sign of the other groups yet either...

Suddenly an intense wave of pain hits him in the chest, making him stop in his tracks with a sudden gasp for air. There hadn't been any trace of it coming in, but now he can sense and see the waves of malevolence flowing out from further ahead. Whatever was there, it was powerful.

Sorey turns to look back at his companions, unsurprised at the lack of reaction on their part. All the more reason to tell them.]

Guys, maybe we should turn back. I just felt how strong whatever's in here is and--

[He doesn't get to finish that sentence because suddenly his nose is gone! Or rather, it seems to just drop off his face and onto the map in his hands. The shock of it causes him to drop the map completely, his hands flying up to where his nose should be. His nose, now having fallen to the ground bounces away...further into the woods...]

H-Hey, get back here!

[He whirls around to give chase to the appendage, voice a little odd without his nose. The map remains forgotten on the ground, and his warning unheeded since he's chasing it further in. Oh dear...]

[Mysterion grins with his teammates and nods. Kei summons his monster, spirit, thing and the kid has the opposite reaction of Sorey. His eyes light up and he smiles wide. He reaches up, trying to touch the floating Persona but stops when Sorey speaks. He can ask to poke it later. Mysterion takes up his staff and follows after the group. He helps smash down the shrubbery as they move. It seems like everything is going to work out and they are going to have an easy time. Then Sorey suddenly stops and grabs his chest. Mysterion tries to ask a question and his nose...comes off.] HOLY SHIT HIS NOSE CAME OFF! [Mysterion points and there is a sickening pop. He watches as his finger somehow crawls up his glove, jumps off, and starts hopping down the forest trail after Sorey and his nose. Mysterion takes off after his finger, raising his staff to bring it down and smash his finger.] Get back you, you little shit! What the fuck?!
