Event Twelve
![]() | |
All my oats are cradled. But I am too chilled, and too fatigued to bind them. And I hunger. | |
Welcome to Awash's twelfth event log, everyone! Further information on this event can be found here at the OOC post. |

You mean, do I want to play in a dress? It's fine! It's super easy to move in.
[Which she will demonstrate by, you know, jogging in place for a few seconds, as one does when they are trying to convince someone else that they are ABSOLUTELY PREPARED for the competition to come. Is it comfortable jogging in heels? Hell no, but Ochako makes sure to keep a confident grin on her face.]
Are you worried, Minato-kun? [A pause, a WINK, and then:] You should be!
[Minato is seeing so many new sides of Ochako this month? Bless his heart.]

Despite. What she's wearing.]
... I guess I'm a little worried. [VERY SINCERELY.] I'm pretty sure you could beat me at just about any of these games... you can be really intense sometimes.

I'm sorry, Minato-kun! I don't want to be scary, but I can't take it easy on you, you know? You're my friend! That makes me really want to give it my all.
[Later, when she is no longer feeling the pie's effects, she's going to be absolutely mortified by everything that's coming out of her mouth; now, though, she feels like it's completely justified, because she's just that good, baby! WOO! So hell yeah she's grabbing his arm and dragging him over to the apple bobbing area.]
Have you tried this before?
no subject
... ... ... boy, these heroes live in totally different worlds, don't they...]
Ochako-san...
[Wheeze.]
Er... no, I've never actually done this before. It doesn't seem too hard, but...
[But when Ochako is being OchakoTurbo, he feels a slight Fear.]
heads or tails? i'll flip a coin to see who wins!
It's not hard at all! You just have to grab as many apples as you can—with your teeth. No hands allowed!
[Duh, Ochako. But even though she can't use her hands, she still begins doing some basic arm stretches. Why? Don't ask! OchakoTurbo is extra!!]
You can go first, okay? I'll keep the time. Two minutes for each of us.
[She will stand to the side and wait for him to get ready to rumble. And just so you know, keeping the time is her LOUDLY counting to 120. The pressure...]
GIMME TAILS
But, well.
Minato seems fine with that, too, tilting his head.]
Okay...
[At least Ochako's efforts to put pressure on don't really work!! Minato's used to much worse pressure than someone keeping time.
On...the flip side, though, he's still Minato, so his efforts here are half-assed at best.
He's trying, though...!! Apples, apples, gotta grab the apples...!!
(This water is cold, he regrets this, his bangs are soaked now....)]

So as soon as her little countdown is over, she punches him right in the arm! Just in case he, you know, didn't hear her tell him that his time is UP. This is the way confident Ochako operates.]
Good job, Minato-kun! You... really did your best! [And with a grin, she gently(!) elbows him to the side as she ties her hair up in a ponytail.] But now it's my turn.
[And two minutes later—voilà! How many apples did she grab? More than he did, that's for sure, and she throws her hands right up in the air... and spits the apple she's holding between her teeth over to the side. Classy.]
Did I win? [Like, she Knows, but even confident Ochako isn't rude enough to gloat about it, so—] I-It feels like we were pretty close...

So...!!
... Minato is definitely not at all surprised to see that Ochako's pile is significantly better than his. That's only as it should be, right...?]
Ah... you definitely beat me, Ochako-san. No doubt about that.
Congratulations. [At least that's sincere--he's not really a sore loser at all.]
